Tried out first time today but probably wont come back. Im a fan of the one in singapore and wasnt expecting that βlevelβ of unagi bowl but i thought was at least good enough, turns out was clearly wrong about it.
Got the chirashi bowl & signature unagi bowl.
Chirashi bowl was still decent.
However, the βsignatureβ unagi bowl really dissapoints. Expected a good bowl of βfreshβ eel as what it was advertised, first it came out clearly overcooked and extremely dry, commented to the waitress and they were nice enough to recook for us. But second time came out undercooked ?.
Btw, they adverstised on βfreshly grated wasabiβ too but did not get that, got a cheap tasting wasabi instead.
Giving a 3.5/ 5 for service (thanks for trying to make it work, not full star still since they are not very responsive still, but effort is there when asked)
Food is just meh.

β β β β β Legit unagi restaurant with a sushi restaurant two in one. Place is in the heart of Senopati with plenty of parking space. Food wise, they serve quality food with taste reminded me of Japan. The combination of the unagi, rice, the sauce, soup, and wasabi is just speechlessly good. Ambience is very Japanese with wood all around. And lastly service is quite nice too. All in all recommended to eat here!

β β β β β This restaurant specializes in βUnagiβ or Japanese for eel. We enjoyed our dinner here and picked the combo βUnagiβ with beef and salmon. Simply delicious.

β β β β β Super delish and yummy Japanese restaurant, focusing on Unagi! β€οΈ The Japonica Unagi is superb and delicious. A must try! Go with the Double Japonica Unagi for satisfying portion of unagi.
They also serve wagyu beef in hot stone (a must try as well), tempura (very big one!), and grilled squid (just ok). The wasabi is freshly grated which is a unique experience. It is fresh and different than the commercial wasabi paste. I totally recommend this restaurant β€οΈ?
Ps: the unagi might contain pieces of small bones which are ok for adults (just chew them) yet they might not be suitable for toddlers.
