β β β β β First of all, I want to tell that the visa administrator is really arrogant and rude. I want to make a visa but he looks at me like "hey poor what do you want to do here?". Maybe yes, my face it's like poor human, but I'm still a customer there, I was wearing a polite outfit too. Am I have to wear Gucci to makes you more friendly and respectful? I don't know what's operational requirements in Turkey. But this is embassy is the most impolite than any other country that I have visited. He even tests/ask me with the rude question " Do you even know what is an exchange? You have to know that's is same as internship". I come to the embassy as STUDENTS exchange candidate and he said just like he know everything about the exchange (AFS). He acts like I'm the dumbest person on earth, but even he didn't know what program I'm applying for. Yeah okay, I can tolerate that he didn't know the difference between exchange and internship. But you suppose to be friendly and polite to the visitor. BUT, HE DOES NOT ACT RUDE AND IMPOLITE TO FOREIGN. Seriously that's really racist....
Second is the information about visa is limited. What document do you need to bring doesn't listed on the website. You have to go to the embassy to check out.
Third, it's they don't accept rupiah. But the embassy are in jakarta
I hope the embassy will improve the service.

β β β β β Lack of communication from this embassy.
The sign says they are open till 3PM. On their website they say they are open till 4PM. They let me make a visa appointment for 3PM, but when I get there they say that the visa times are from 9-12. A simple email would have saved me a 300km trip.

the procedure is as follows:
1. make pre-application visa in konsolosluk.gov.tr
2. fulfill and submit all requirements
3. choose appointment date and time
3. print everything you submit online + air tickets booking
4. have USD 60 in hand, they don't accept rupiah or credit card
5. go to the embassy at the time you've chosen before
in my case, for a semester exchange program here are the docs i submitted:
1. LoA from Turkish university
2. Learning Agreement
3. Statement letter from home university
4. KTM (university student id card)
5. KTP
6. Bank Notes (Rekening koran) for independent finance or scholarship statement
7. Birth certificate
8. KK (family certificate)
9. Degree certificate (S1, SMA)
10. Passport
11. Health insurance during my exchange program
12. Covid19 vaccination certificate (both doses)
13. Air ticket booking
14. 2 pieces of ID Photo with white background 5x5cm
prepare all the documents and bring them all just in case, and have minimal a copy of them to be submitted. dont forget the USD 60.
on site procedure just take less than 15mins for me, just submitted the hardcopy, being asked for few questions about the residency, and the officer gave me a visa receipt to pick the visa when it's done (10 days after). you can have other person to pick the visa, just bring the visa receipt.
i didn't call in advance, just filled the pre application visa form online, prepared the docs and went straight away to the embassy. and it went well.
i read some bad reviews about the service beforehand but i had an absolutely great experience. very fast and efficient process. the staff is also nice. hope everyone is safe!

β β β β β Due to PPKM, the visitor access are very limited and only 5 people are allowed every session. Nevertheless, the service remained top notch and very well organized. Unrelated but the cats there are really cute, your phone and Id card are taken at security though so no footages allowed. Be prepared for a lot of waiting.

β β β β β Turkey says they want to boost up their travel especially during pandemic. But i try to just Apply for tourist visa the embassy staff here make it very difficult and inefficient. Complicated and rude. Very rude and no manner. And not helpful at all. How can turkey improve their travel program if their representation behave like this?!?

β β β β β Had an appointment at 9 Feb 2022. When I arrived, the helpful Security told me that they had a corona break among the staff, and all inquiries will be postponed until the 14th of February. But as seeing Indonesia's track record in handling corona cases, my estimate is that it would take more than the 14th.
Could've gave a short notice beforehand via email or website, to show its professionalism.

β β β β β It is one of the worst embassies I ever visited, (been in more than 12 embassies) in terms of service, communication, process, and ethics.
I sent an email asking for an explanation but they didn't answer, the office guy is an Indonesian his job is to make your day worst.
