★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Epic!! This place is awesome, except the volcano having eruption that will be terrific so make sure to check the condition of weather and Merapi before visiting this place. The bathroom were unavailable because of some natural disasters when I came here, pretty sure it will be fixed soon, but the others bathroom around the shops area is dirty and uncomfortable wish they will fix it soon. Bring the camera, the view is so perfect!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best spot for watching the beautiful of Mount Merapi. It also provides camping ground with a spectacular scenery in the morning when you open your tent. The facilities are toilet, mosque and some stall. The access is good and easy finding with Google Maps.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tourist attractions to see top of the Merapi Mountain closer.
I might suggest if you want to see clear weather and mountain scenery, go there in the morning before 9 am, because after that, mist and cloud will surround the mountain.
It has local Strawberry farm where you could harvest the strawberry and it will cost 10K Rupiah/ounce (it tastes swet as well ;) ).
It has some small hut to take a rest for a group, quite large open field area to go picnic with family, but you can't go over more than 1 km up the mountain because of the government regulations since Merapi is an active volcano.
There is no entering fees for Bukit Klangon, but you will be charge at the gate downhill before entering bukit Klangon village (5-10K) plus vehicle parking fees (2-5K).
There are several souvenir shop and shop where you can buy food like fritters or noodles and drink as well.

The sellers are friendly, the snacks are affordable to buy. Maybe next time we will come agaim for camp, insyaaAllah hihi

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The tourist attractions that located in the foot of Merapi Mountain. If you lucky enough with the clear weather, you can see the magnificent of Mount Merapi.
There's no entry fee. Huge parking area, and there are some food stalls. You may do camping here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The fogs start at around 3pm, so please have a note to stand the camp before it. Pleae bring a sweater or hoodie or a pair of socks and a blanket, if you aint good with the cold, as I knew that the temp dropping at night, reach 15°C at least. There's a bathroom here, so its good, and it's kinda near with the parking lot. The rent is cheap, only ±15k IDR for camping ground rent. I attached a photo at the morning around 6-7pm and at the afternoon. The Merapi Mt. seems really clear, cz it's seriously near with the mt. Dont forget to anticipate every step and things if there's an eruption. Worth to camp at Klangon. Oiya theres also some kedai, if you go a little bit lower from the camping ground.

It's a perfect place for camping with your family or friends.
It's a bit cloudy when I came, nonetheless, the view is still breathtaking.
Affordable trip!
