★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jl Pegangsaan Timur No 56 merupakan tempat yang sangat bersejarah bagi Bangsa Indonesia. Di Taman Proklamasi tersebut terdapat titik koordinat dibacakannya naskah proklamasi. Tapi rumah asli Soekarno sudah dirubuhkan atas keinginan Soekarno sendiri. Di tempat itulah Kemerdekaan Negara Republik Indonesia diproklamasikan oleh Ir Soekarno dan Mohammad Hatta. Taman Proklamasi ini dikelola oleh Pemprov DKI, sedangkan Gedung Perintis Kemerdekaan dimiliki oleh Kementerian Sekretariat Negara Republik Indonesia. Dulunya Gedung Perintis Kemerdekaan berisi museum terkait proklamasi, di dalamnya terdapat buku-buku, patung, foto, serta pajangan surat kabar terkait aktivitas Soekarno dan Hatta. Untuk sementara gedung Perintis Kemerdekaan tersebut digunakan sementara sebagai Kantor Pusat Bakamla RI, terkecuali lantai 3 nya yang masih menjadi kantor Yayasan Bung Karno
Jl Pegangsaan Timur No 56 is a very historic place for the Indonesian nation. In the Proklamasi Park, there is a coordinate point for the reading of the proclamation text. But Soekarno's original house had been torn down at Soekarno's wish. It was in that place that the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia was proclaimed by Ir Soekarno and Mohammad Hatta. This Proklamasi Park is managed by the DKI Provincial Government, while the Perintis Kemerdekaan Building is owned by the Ministry of the State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia. Formerly the Perintis Kemerdekaan Building contained a museum related to the proclamation, in which there are books, statues, photos, and displays of newspapers related to Soekarno and Hatta's activities. For the time being the Perintis Kemerdekaan building is used temporarily as the Head Office of the Indonesian Bakamla, with the exception of the 3rd floor which is still the office of the Bung Karno Foundation.
