★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best museums in In Indonesia. It is located in central Jakarta, close to other tourism destinations and public transportations. The ticket is really cheap compare to what we get inside and outside the museum. For Adult it cost 5000 IDR, and 10.000 IDR for foreigner. It has a lot of archeological collection from pre historic period till modern period. Sometimes the middle place between the two main buildings will be hosted contemporary art event like Jakarta Biennale. Come and give a visit , its worted !

Went here one hour before closing hour. If you want to explore more make sure you arrived earlier. Amazing

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Museum Nasional / Museum Gajah. Located at city center near National Monument (Monas). Last time i visited this museum about 9 yrs ago and last week we came here plus my daughter. She enjoy the museum as well... The new building have aircon so children will enjoy it as well

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just visited this place this morning. i came about 10am, and when i finished the tour around 12am place already crowded outside, parking too. it's the best time cuz they just open few hours ago. Plenty parking space for cars. from parking u walk back from parking entrance towards front gate building to buy ticket, the exit way is connected from the main building, through ground floor, into basement parking. Inside, you just have to follow the arrows on the floor or explore. Toilets only available at the basement park near musholla and near the exit after ground floor big hall and go down the elevators to the right.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome experience overall. Had the chance to experience a limited run event and gallery, and it had a quite nice theme- critique towards the government and perception. Overall, would highly recommend with the cheap price(5k!), would even pay more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A museum in the heart of Jakarta filled with many amazing artefacts from prehistoric times to the more recent times. You can learn a lot about the history of Indonesia here. The place is well-kept, air-conditioning is running and the admission fee is very cheap.

Initially it was hard for me to find a museum that is worth to visit and almost free in Jakarta. Yeah, you either went to an old and untreated museums or went to a insta-worthy museums with high price. Apparently the government started to see that museums are assets. One of them is Museum Nasional that is being renovated and provided interactive dioramas. Bit close to the standard of the museums I had visited in the Europe.
Museum Nasional contained of traditional and ancient artefacts which tells stories about Indonesia’s archipelago. The layout and curated display are so good. If you really decide to go to Museum Nasional, I advise you to spare 2-3 hours because it is really huge and had a lot of display section. It’s a good choice for spending weekend. But it’s close too early, so better be there before noon ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, this place is where you can find all of artifact, statue and all historical things those found from many province and city in Indonesia.
The place is very comfortable. The entrance ticket only IDR 5k you can buy on the spot or by online.
This could be recommended place when you get bored hang out to the mall ??
