★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant was fantastic. The ambiance and decor were outstanding. The cuisine, albeit, was the true star of the show. My heart swelled with delight for each bite of the food. The aroma of the food, the visuals, and, most importantly, the taste of the food were all exemplary. I'd return in a heartbeat.

This hidden gem by chef Andrea Perestu has one of the best, if not, the best selection for tapas, steak, pasta as well as seafood. If you happen to be looking for the best of the best like Jamon Iberico, Rubia Gallega beef or Carabineros prawn, then this is the place to go!
Recently, Javanegra has expand their culinary boundaries by adding caviar and cheese selections to be the best fromagerie in town. Also, as a high end restaurant, there is no corkage fee nor service charge. So what more could you ask.. don't miss out and I'll see you there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Empty restaurant on a weekend evening; staff sitting outside chatting; no real sign board; hard to miss actually. What kills it is them insisting on a 1 million rupiah per person coverage charge. Now I know why your restaurant is empty. No loss if you close down; looks like you don’t want customers. Bummer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cozy non pretentious environment focusing on delivery of good service and quality food.
The paella was busting with seafood flavours. One of the best I have ever tried.
The grilled octopus salad was delicious as well as the octopus was perfectly cooked.
One of the dishes I was disappointed in is the baked oyster. It was too salty. The oyster itself was sweet but I figured the excessive saltiness could be from the cheese baked on top of it. Another one was the pork cheek - it was too dry and the pork smell was quite distinct.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food wise no doubt very good. However, as Javanegra want to be exclusive resto with all the booking fee and everything. I personally do not feel that. Only the waiter greet us, althought they are very nice, but not yet equiped with the product knowledge. Moreover, the manager didnt bother to greet us while she was just few meters from our table. It feels that you go to any ordinary resto with very expensive food and drinks. A bit dissapointed actually.
