★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This building was once a central library building precisely on December 19, 1959 which was inaugurated directly by the first President of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir Soekarno. When the UGM campus is still in the Kraton neighborhood, the UGM Library is located at Jl. Panembahan Senopati (currently Hotel Limaran), which was established on March 1, 1951. Then moved to Sekip Unit V to occupy the former Colombo Conference Building which is now the Vocational School Library Building.
After all the central activities of the UGM Library located in the Bulaksumur area, south of the UGM Rectorate Building, in 2016 the names of this building did not change, still with the same name "Library", but specifically operated for all bookkeeping activities from the Vocational School , as well as collecting final results, borrowing books, journals, places of discussion and so forth. In addition, the Vocational Development Center (VDC) unit which manages the field of job recruitment and information on vacancies also operates in this building. As well as this building has a Hall, called the Library Building Hall which is usually used for several grand activities from the Vocational School as well as seminars, workshops etc.
