This is my first experience with the Chanel store in Jakarta. I was skeptical at first because many people said that Chanel SAs in Jakarta can be arrogant. I went there to search for shoes. The sales lady Mba Dian was very nice, she helped me try on various pairs of shoes until I got the one that I really liked. I asked her if she could put them on hold for a day. She said yes and wrote down my phone number. The next morning, she texted me and asked when I was going to come to the store to pick them up. She referred me to one of her colleagues since she wasn’t working that day, and after I arrived, the process was quick. The one that helped me check out with the item was Mba Stellaβ€”she was also very nice. She even offered for me to try them on again just to make sure they fit. I also asked her if Chanel Jakarta would ever restock their classic passport case in black, and she said she would contact me if it’s finally restocked. The gift-wrap is always super pretty. Both the sales ladies that helped me during those two days were very helpful. Mba Dian even thanked me again thru text after I bought my shoes. Nice experience in general. :)

This Chanel Perfume Boutique is the only location I know of in Jakarta with the full Chanel perfume range including limited edition items. Service is always outstanding and the staff extremely knowledgeable including knowing prices and availability without the need to look anything up. The gift wrapping is also appreciated and includes a gift card. Gifts from Chanel are always a success.

I came here to buy cosmetic for my gf. This is the first time i experience such unpleasant service moreover from a hi-end brand that i expect good service is a must. The β€˜beauty advisor’ was looking me from top to toe, no smile at all. The most disgusting part was his expression and gestures while I’m asking. Seriously?! This store is not recommended at all! Poor service! I’d like to give zero star if exist.

As far as store design and merchandise assortment are concerned, they're great. I mean, come on, it's CHANEL. But the service, though. I know I only bought 3 bottles of perfume, which is minuscule purchase by CHANEL's standard, but I wish that the staffs had been a lot more friendly, warm, attentive and smiley. I went to the flagship boutique at Rue Cambon in Paris once in 2016 and the service there was so much better. And it must have been obvious to the Paris staffs that I wasn't a big spender, but they still served me greatly anyway. I thought the Paris staffs were going to be cold but, sadly, it was the Jakarta ones that kind of were. To make an apple-to-apple comparison, the staffs at Louis Vuitton Jakarta were more welcoming.

I have been to this store many times before the pandemic, and I always purchased my Chanel's skin care & cosmetic here. But, I was deeply disappointed when I went there on Saturday, 20 November 2021. I had a list of things I wanted to purchase on my phone. Right in front of the store it was clearly written on a stand that only 8 people max inside the store, so I waited patiently outside the store behind the line because I could see there was a group of at least 8 people inside the store (I was adhering to the health & safety protocols during pandemic for public & personal safety). There was a male beauty advisor who was not occupied at that time, but he was not bothered even though he saw me standing outside the store. Then, 2 women walked pass me & made their way to the store. I was surprised that the beauty advisor did not tell them to wait outside since the store has reached its maximum capacity! Instead, he attended to them. My friend told me to just walk in & after hesitating it for several seconds, I finally walked in because I wanted to finish my shopping & just return home. I stood in front of the skin care range that I was ready to purchase so I could just point out whichever I want to any beaury advisor that was ready to serve me. After the 2 women left the store without making any purchase, that male beauty advisor continued doing what he was doing (unclear). There was no other beauty advisor within my sight. Then another women walked in & started chatting with that male beauty advisor & he entertained her for quite some times while I was still standing on the same spot waiting for someone to take my purchase! I finally decided it was so not worth it. It is a shame that a brand as big as Chanel can't even implement health & safety protocols during pandemic, and fails to provide a decent service to its returning customer. I have been to many Chanel stores outside Indonesia , and have never been disappointed this much. I do not go out often during pandemic, and when I do go out, I expect my errands to run smoothly. I can tolerate force majeur, but this is more to do with attitude of the beauty / sales advisor who appears unbothered to customer who (perhaps) looked indecent to be inside a Chanel store.

I have problems with my bag and wanted to repair, the SA told me to wait until December 2021. Then, i contacted the SA through Whatsapp but never heard of the update until now. I tried to call the store for so many times and no one pick up the phone. Poor Service Quality (especially SA Herman)

Chanel picked the wrong local distributor. Lois Vuitton , Dior and Prada the service - all much better. See the reviews by others. Yes the service is probably the worse in Asia - compared to HK, SGP, China and Malaysia even. Don’t believe? Just call their phone. No one will pick up most of the time. For me, all my calls were never answered 100% of the time. See the experience of others below. Anyway there’s so many other better products
