★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love batik keris. their primissima cotton is outstanding & both their informal & formal, short & long sleeved shirts, made of printed batik cotton, have no equal.
I confess I’m not carried away by tulis & cap batik, if not as a form of art: to put on my skin on daily basis, I prefer the more practical & soft printed primissima cotton.
the quality of the cotton of artisanal batik does not appeal to me. even less, lined silk batik, very impractical for daily use.
nevertheless, I did not find, in the batik keris - plaza indonesia boutique, the printed primissima cotton batik collection whose shirts are around 300.000 to 400.000 IDR; only what I guess is the high end modern batik collection whose shirts are around 1.000.000 to 2.000.000 IDR.
the collections has a less than impressive & very flashy patterns, so I did not check further because I wasn’y really interested.
but if it’s not silk batik cap or tulis, the shirts are heavily overpriced. plaza indonesia style overpriced.
if you are looking for primissima cotton printed batik go to batik keris - sarinah or to the batik keris -menteng boutique.
