★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rediscovered incidentally in 1993, this ruin of 9th-century temple bears striking resemblance to Candi Sambisari, and it was also buried 6-meter below the present surface when it was found.
It's an interesting archaeological site to visit, as it gives you a clearer idea of how devastating the result of lava flow from the past eruption of Mount Merapi was.
