Pohon Beringin ini ditanam atas prakarsa Sastrowihardjo yang menjabat sebagai lurah Biru antara 1934-1941. Pohon beringin itu dimaksudkan sebagai penanda sekaligus pengingat saat penobatan Ratu Wilhelmina sebagai Ratu di Negeri Belanda pada saat itu
