★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Desa Gayamharjo mempunyai beberapa tempat yang sangat potensial dan indah untuk dijadikan sebagai Desa Wisata, letak geografis yang berada di bukit-bukit Perbukitan Seribu didukung oleh panorama alam yang indah dan masih asli dan juga lokasinya berada dekat dengan Obyek Wisata Candi Prambanan, Candi Boko, Candi Ijo, dan juga dekat dengan jalur utama antar propinsi Jawa Tengah dan DI. Yogyakarta.
Beberapa tempat yang sudah mulai dikelola dan dikembangkan oleh masyarakat dengan dukungan pemerintah Kabupaten Sleman dan DI. Yogyakarta, diantaranya : Kedung Manten, Desa Wisata Nawung, Tempat Ziarah Gua Maria Sriningsih, Jembatan Gantung, dan sebagainya.
Salah satu tempat yang sangat berpotensi wisata di Desa Gayamharjo adalah puncak bukit Mintorogo, tempat ini masih asri dan belum tersentuh pembangunan wisata sama sekali. Di puncak bukit terdapat sebuah petilasan tempat pertapaan yang digunakan beberapa masyarakat yang percaya bahwa di situ dahulu tempat Raden Janoko atau Arjuna memperoleh wahyu, sehingga pada waktu-waktu tertentu seperti malam Jumat Kliwon dan Malam Selasa Kliwon banyak orang datang ke tepat tersebut. Sedangkan dibagian Barat bukit ini juga terdapat tempat yang bernama Indrokilo, dipercaya juga sebagai tempat menunggu para Punakawan ketika menyertai Arjuna bertapa. Sedangkan di sisi Timur pertapan terdapat gunung Kukusan, yaitu sebuah bukit yang bentuknya menyerupai kukusan.
Panorama di sekitar dua pertapaan ini sangat indah, dengan hawa yang masih sejuk, jauh dari polusi udara. Dari puncak tersebut, Gunung merapi sangat terlihat jelas ketika memandang ke arah Utara. Terlebih pada waktu malam hari, nampak jelas kota Klaten dan sekitarnya yang bertabur cahaya lampu.

One of the places that have the potential for tourism in the village of Gayamharjo is the peak of Mintorogo hill, this place is still beautiful and has not been touched by tourist development at all. At the top of the hill is a hermitage where some people believe that there used to be a place where Raden Janoko or Arjuna got a revelation, so that at certain times such as Friday night Kliwon and Tuesday night Kliwon many people came to the exact place. While in the western part of this hill there is also a place called Indrokilo, believed to also be a place to wait for the Punakawan when accompanying Arjuna to be imprisoned. While on the east side of the pertapan there is the mountain Kukusan, which is a hill that looks like steam.
The panorama around these two hermitage is very beautiful, with air that is still cool, far from air pollution. From the peak, Mount Merapi is clearly visible when looking north. Especially at night, it is clear that the city of Klaten and its surrounding areas are studded with lights.

Convenient for tracking especially for hiking. Many photo spots can be tried, if your mind is more crowded, going up to this hill, surely your mind will immediately be jreeeng jreeeeeeeng especially those who want to enjoy the beautiful clouds without having to go up a big mountain
