★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Santo Alfonsus Maria de Liguori, pelindung para ahli teologi Moral, pelindung para bapak pengakuan dan seorang pujangga Gereja, merupakan pendiri konggregasi C.Ss.R (Conggregatio Sanctisimi Redemptoris) pada tanggal 9 November 1732 di Napoli, Italia. Dalam bahasa Indonesia, disebut Konggregasi Sang Penebus Mahakudus. Dari sebuah daerah pegunungan di Italia Selatan, bernama Scala, para Imam dan Bruder yang kelak lebih dikenal dengan nama para redemptoris, memulai karyanya untuk membawa penebusan berlimpah-limpah kepada siapa saja terutama orang miskin dan terlantar. Karena itu, motto yang dipilih sejak awal sampai sekarang adalah “copiosa apud eum redemptio” (pada Tuhan-lah Penebusan berlimpah-limpah).
Semangat awal pendiri Konggregasi memulai dan memprioritaskan karya mereka di antara para gembala dan petani miskin di Italia Selatan, ternyata juga menjadi semangat Missionaris C.Ss.R dari Jerman, yang pertama kali masuk ke Indonesia tahun 1957. Pulau Sumba dan Sumbawa dipilih karena sesuai dengan misi utama para Redemptoris, mencari dan mewartakan Injil kepada orang yang paling terbelakang dan terabaikan. Pada tahun-tahun itu, Sumba adalah pulau yang miskin dan masyarakatnya masih sangat kuat terikat dengan Tradisi dan kepercayaan tradisional Marapu. Missionaris pertama yang masuk ke pulau ini sesungguhnya adalah Yesuit, pada tanggal 21 April 1889. Tetapi kemudian ditinggalkan karena dirasa tidak ada kemajuan berarti. 23 tahun kemudian missionaris SVD memasuki Sumba pada tahun 1921. Setelah lebih dari 30 tahun,mereka berkarya lalu digantikan oleh para Missionaris C.Ss.R
Dengan berkembangnya Gereja Katolik di Sumba, panggilan juga mulai muncul. Beberapa calon dari Flores, timor, Jawa, dan Sumba menjadi calon Redemptoris meski tidak semuanya berhasil menjadi Imam. Dari tahun ke tahun, jumlah Calon Redemptoris terus Meningkat. Para Calon yang menyiapkan diri untuk menjadi Redemptoris di Propinsi Indonesia ini menjalani Studi di Fakultas Filsafat Universitas Sanata Dharma, Yogyakarta.
Seminari Tinggi Wisma Sang Penebus
Wisma sang Penebus adalah biara sekaligus rumah studi (studentant) para Frater C.Ss.R. Wisma Sang Penebus beridri sejak tahun 1978. Disini para frater tingggal dan belajar serta menjalani aktivitas hidup rohani dan jasmani sebagai calon Imam Redemptoris. Dari tempat ini, setiap hari para frater menjalani studi akademis formal di Fakultas Filsafat Universitas Sanata Dharma, Yogyakarta.
Saint Alfonsus Maria de Liguori, patron of Moral theologians, patron of the confessor and a poet of the Church, was the founder of the Congregation C.Ss.R (Conggregatio Sanctisimi Redemptoris) on 9 November 1732 in Naples, Italy. In Indonesian, it is called the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer. From a mountainous area in Southern Italy, named Scala, the Imams and Brothers who later became known as the redemptorists, began their work to bring abundant redemption to anyone, especially the poor and displaced. Therefore, the motto chosen from the beginning to the present is "copiosa apud eum redemptio" (in God it is abundant).
The initial spirit of the founders of the Congregation began and prioritized their work among shepherds and poor farmers in Southern Italy, it also turned out to be the spirit of the German C.Ss.R Missionaries, who first entered Indonesia in 1957. Sumba and Sumbawa Islands were chosen because they were in accordance with the main mission of the Redemptorists, to find and proclaim the Gospel to the most backward and neglected people. In those years, Sumba was a poor island and its people were still very strongly tied to traditional Marapu Traditions and beliefs. The first missionary who entered the island was actually a Jesuit, on April 21, 1889. But then it was abandoned because there was no significant progress. 23 years later the SVD missionaries entered Sumba in 1921. After more than 30 years, they worked and were replaced by the C.Ss.R Missionaries
With the development of the Catholic Church in Sumba, calls also began to emerge. Some candidates from Flores, Timor, Java and Sumba became Redemptorist candidates, although not all of them succeeded in becoming Imams. From year to year, the number of Candidates for Redemptoris continues to increase. The Candidates preparing themselves to become Redemptorists in the Indonesian Province underwent Study in the Faculty of Philosophy, Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta.
The High Seminary of the Redeemer Guesthouse
The Redeemer's house is a monastery as well as a study house (studentant) of the Brothers C.Ss.R. The Redeemer's house has been in service since 1978. Here the brothers live and study and undergo spiritual and physical life activities as candidates for the Redemptorist Imam. From this place, every day the brothers undergo formal academic studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta.

Tempatnya luas, ada lapangan sepak bolanya juga, bersih dan rapi, tenang, nuansa rohani terasa di tempat ini. Bersebelahan dengan paroki Nandan.
Yang perlu ditingkatkan:
Respon apabila ada tamu terbilang lama.
Beberapa kali menekan bel dan menunggu agak lama baru ada yg membukakan pintu dan menerima tamu.

The place is spacious, there is also a soccer field, clean and neat, calm, spiritual feel felt in this place. Next to the Nandan parish.
What needs to be improved:
Response if there are guests fairly long.
