★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am reposting this as I've posted this under Saraah earlier. I went to the outlet at Greenhost Hotel after reviewing the rave reviews from its main operator, Saraah Spa. I was expecting the same quality and standard. To be honest, this is one of the worst I've ever done in Indonesia. I asked the masseur to go from medium to hard pressure but it really felt like she was just touching my body! She used one hand to massage most of the time. The other masseurs were chit chatting very loudly outside the room which totally spoilt the experience. Frankly for the price I've paid, it's really not worth it. At one point, i even suspect if the reviews here were all fake! When the masseur handed me the feedback form, she even asked me why i put average for therapist?? I actually felt like putting below average cos she was spying on my feedback. I don't want her to lose her job but this is really not acceptable for me. I hope the management review this properly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of the best massage therapists in Yogyakarta. Quality massage on comfortable and clean massage tables. The atmosphere is private yet somewhat open air. The best they could do considering it is an extension of the hotel lobby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just finished my massage and I am soooo dissatisfied! My masseuse was inexperienced and her technique was very shoddy. I did not enjoy the experience at all. I had to direct her to follow through on her strokes and also showed her how she should use her fingers for the proper pressure for my upper back area. I prefer strong pressure and this is the first time a masseuse has told me that her pressure is the maximum but yet I didn't feel so. Her strokes were choppy and did not feel comfortable. It doesn't help that she couldn't really speak English. I appreciated her kind smile and positive attitude (which is why I still tipped her plus she looked young so I did not want to be mean) but honestly, this was the worst massage that I have ever experienced. I need a proper massage to recover from this. If you book a massage at this spa, make sure to request for an experienced masseuse because the one I got had only 1 yr experience. I tipped her anyway but I blame the organisation for not training her enough.
Edit (one day later) : I am glad that I managed to speak to Rizky and he has also offered to compensate by a refund or another massage. This is great customer service and I appreciate him being open to feedback. Rizky was very sincere and I do hope that he will look into the standard and training of the therapists of the spa in Greenhost Hotel.
Edit 2: I just tried Yuli who did my foot reflexology and I must say it was really good!! I am being objective about it and not just because the spa felt bad about my first bad experience (above). I am glad that I gave them the chance of a remedy and it was really an enjoyable experience! The therapist bothered to dim the lights (unlike the previous body massage) and her pressure was perfect. She was very attentive and diligent and was very accommodating when I requested to adjust the strong pressure to medium quite a few times. The acupoints that she put pressure on really felt good (and painful, but in a very good way, as I like my foot reflexology this way). I can be prepared for a very good sleep tonight. It was a pity I did not get Yuli yesterday as I am sure it would have been a very enjoyable massage :) Thank you Rizky and Yuli for a great experience just before I end my trip in Yogyakarta.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No idea why rating is not higher. We're a couple and we were both relieved to have found Tea Spa after trying others ranging from meh to bad. Quality process, rooms and massage - worth booking ahead to get a slot. Arta, the masseur I had, was awesome!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible experience. The spa took the time to understand our needs and requests like massage strength beforehand, and therapists delivered exactly as requested. They were very professional, ambience was very nice and yummy tea was served afterwards. 10/10 would return and recommend!
