★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SMP Mater Dei adalah salah satu SMP milik Perkumpulan Dharmaputri. SMP ini beralamat di Jalan Raya Siliwangi, Kompleks pamulang Permai I, Pamulang, Tangerang Selatan. SMP ini semula bernama SMP Strada Sanjaya mulai didirikan pada tanggal 16 Juli 1986. Sekolah ini didirikan oleh Yayasan Pendidikan Santa Perawan Maria bekerjasama dengan Perkumpulan Strada Tangerang. Setelah beberapa tahun berlalu, seluruh manajemen dikelolah oleh Yayasan Pendidikan Santa Perawan Maria. Akhirnya pada tanggal 13 April 1993, nama SMP Strada sanjaya diganti menjadi SMP Mater Dei.
Ketika SMP Strada Sanjaya berdiri, lingkungan sekitar masih sepi. Perumahan yang ada di sekitarnya masih jarang. Oleh karena itu, tidak heran kalau siswa yang bersekolah di SMP masih sedikit. Selain itu bangunan sekolahpun masih sangat sederhana. Pada awalnya lokasi SMP menenpati gedung milik Bina Upaya Griya (BUG) di kompleks Witana Harja yang sekarang menjadi SD Mater Dei. Seiring berjalannya waktu sekolah ini berkembang sesuai tuntutan zaman untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat akan pendidikan. Jumlah siswa, kelas, guru, dan karyawanpun semakin bertambah. Fasilitas pendidikan tahap demi tahap dilengkapi untuk memperlancar kegiatan pembelajaran. Prestasi- prestasipun mulai diraih oleh SMP Mater dei sehingga masyarakat mulai mengenal dan mempercayai putra putrinya bersekolah di SMP Mater Dei.
SMP Mater Dei semakin berkembang baik dari kualitas maupun kuantitas. Peningkatan pelayanan juga diberikan sekolah dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi sehingga seluruh warga sekolah dapat dengan mudah memberi dan menerima informasi secara online. Semoga cita-cita untuk menjadi sekolah digital bisa tercapai.
SMP Mater Dei is one of the SMP belonging to the Dharmaputri Association. This SMP is located at Jalan Raya Siliwangi, Kompleks Pamulang Permai I, Pamulang, South Tangerang. This junior high school was originally called SMP Strada Sanjaya and was founded on July 16, 1986. This school was founded by the Santa Perawan Maria Education Foundation in collaboration with the Tangerang Strada Association. After several years had passed, the entire management was managed by the Blessed Virgin Mary Education Foundation. Finally, on April 13, 1993, the name SMP Strada Sanjaya was changed to SMP Mater Dei.
When SMP Strada Sanjaya was founded, the neighborhood was still quiet. Housing in the vicinity is still rare. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are still very few students attending junior high school. Besides that, the school building is still very simple. Initially the location of the SMP contained a building belonging to Bina Usaha Griya (BUG) in the Witana Harja complex which is now SD Mater Dei. Over time this school developed according to the demands of the times to meet the needs of society for education. The number of students, classes, teachers and employees is also increasing. Educational facilities are equipped step by step to facilitate learning activities. Mater dei Junior High School has started to achieve achievements so that the community begins to recognize and trust their sons and daughters to attend Mater Dei Junior High School.
SMP Mater Dei is growing both in quality and quantity. Improved services are also provided by schools by utilizing information and communication technology so that all school members can easily provide and receive information online. Hopefully the dream of becoming a digital school can be achieved.
