★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited during Ramadhan and Pandemi time, so the place was quite empty. But this satay house is very recommended for people who want to enjoy Semarang Old Town with authentic experiences. Since their famous satay is lamb meat, not many people can enjoy it. The price is not cheap nor expensive, and the taste comes accordingly, just average. But the vibes as an old town culinary worth the visit. Moreover, the scenery around the restaurant is beautiful, family and tourists can definitely enjoy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Top notch mutton satay and gulai with history. Still the best in town. Highly recommend to try sate buntel, minced mutton meat covered with fat. Price is on the splurge side, however it still retain the classic taste, still worth it with current atmosphere. Other dishes are goat brain ?in gulai soup. The meat gulai is rather hard to chew.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old-fashioned satay in kotalama of Semarang. Favorite menu: sate buntel (shredded meat covered with fat-tissue), sate campur (mix satay between meat, fat or liver), liang tea (cold). Prices during visit 2021: sate buntel @47k, sate campur 75k/portion, balungan sumsum mix 65k. Rasanya josss.. uenak. Meat is tender & juicy.
