★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An authentic Manadonese restaurant, famous for its rahang tuna and dada tuna bakar (grilled) rica.
I tried for the take away: rahang tuna bakar rica, onde-onde and pisang goreng sambal roa.
The place is pretty compact and very clean. No aircon but plenty of wall fans. It is near Warung SCI.
The service staffs are very friendly. We waited a bit long, and they didn't stop update us on the progress. Very nice!
The food:
Manadonese onde-onde is like Javanese klepon. White color, coveeed with grated fresh coconut. Bite slowky and carefully, just like klepon, they explode upon biting. The grated fresh coconut leverage the flavor even better. I added a pinch of salt for extra kick. Loved it! ???
Pisang goreng Manado. This one is superb. The difference is the batter. The batter brings up umami, fried to crispy, and perfectly compliment banana's natural sweetness. Dip it in hot sambal roa = perfect! IMHO, this is the best Manadonese pisang goreng in Jakarta. ?????
Rahang tuna bakar rica. I will eat it for dinner later with extra rica sambal. So stay tune. One thing: it is gigantic and smells like heaven (no, I haven't been there) !
Update after dinner: (to be typed here)
Price wise: affordable for Manado cuisine. I know one which is too pricey. And yet this restaurant is also "imported" some ingredients from Manado as well, with superb taste and quality and better pricing.
2 out of 3 = I think it's a keeper. I fall in love with this humble Manadonese restaurant. ?????

So far the best in Town for Grilled Tuna Jaws lover.
Price is fair (equal if compare with taste).
Suggest to having breakfast or dinner rather than lunch as it has no Air Conditioned installed (they still considered to install as at present only had Air Cooler) imaging how hot this place if you're having lunch here without Air Conditioning.
