★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bendungan atau dam ini fungsi utamanya untuk memperlambat laju aliran lahar dingin dari Gunung Merapi. Selain itu juga untuk melindungi jembatan di atasnya dari erosi. Tetapi fungsi utamanya sekarang adalah untuk irigasi pengairan sawah di Dusun Srumbung, Dowakan, Wates dan Soropadan.
Selain fungsi utama di atas masyarakat juga menggunakannya untuk rekreasi, memancing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sabo dam kali putih yg terletak di Dsn Srumbung yg merupakan sarana irigasi pertanian untuk masyarakat beberapa desa disekitar lokasi dam, seperti dusun Srumbung, Dowakan, Wates, Soropadan. Dam tersebut dimanfaatkan pula untuk rekreasi masyarakat sekitar seperti berenang dan mancing ikan. Pemandangan disekitar lokasi juga masih asri dan sejuk.
Sabo Putih Kali River which is located in Dsn Srumbung which is an agricultural irrigation facility for the community of several villages around the dam location, such as the hamlet of Srumbung, Dowakan, Wates, Soropadan.
