★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm surprised I haven't written a review for this place until now. Whenever I'm in Jakarta, I always go here at least once with my dad for breakfast.
Seriously, there's nothing like having a warm bowl of soto for breakfast, along with the condiments (clam satay, fried tempe, potato fritters, quail eggs satay, etc).
You can order the soto 'wet' or 'dry'. The dry one is served separately from the rice. But real soto eaters (is there even such a thing?) know that the best way of eating it is 'wet' style, by having the rice mixed with the soup.
Don't expect fancy treatment here though. This is definitely a no frills restaurant, and the price also reflects it. If you're in the area I highly recommend you to stop by and try it!
