I love it so much! this place located in Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah
this was a aromatherapy oil factory back to 60’s built by Bulgaria government. it explains why this place has art-deco style in their building.
I recommend you to visit it in the morning, start at 10 am so that you can join their amazing tour and workshop.
unfortunately, I came at 12 and didn’t have much time to join their museum tour and workshop. however I did enjoy the garden tour very much!
I’m looking forward to visit this place again in the near future

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place. Love the ambiance, the staffs were very attentive and friendly. We took activity called “Taman Atsiri” where we can learn many variations of plants. The hosts was great, he explained and managed to answer most of our questions. Surprisingly, they provide wheelchair as it was very helpful because my mom has difficulties to walk.
After the garden tour, we had lunch at the restaurant. It was semi-outdoor, foods were great according to our taste and again the service was satisfactory.
They also have two shops, one where you can find essential oils products & the other one where you can find tshirt, tea, jam, etc.
Definitely one of a place where I’m going to be back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think this is the most awesome museum I've ever visited. The place is located in high altitude, under Lawu Mt. The buildings are beautiful. Their staffs are super friendly and helpful. One of must-visit place when you're in Karanganyar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best educational gardens I've ever visited. The place is soooo wide and well maintaned. The staffs are so friendly and helpful. I can see many kinds of plants and herbs. They are all well taken care of. I took a lot of pictures here and enjoy some sips of coffee with my friend. Worth visiting.

entrance ticket with voucher (50k), you can choose where you want to go. I went to the aromatic garden (25k), then bought snacks at the resto.
The museum is at certain hours a suitable place for a walk and education with the family

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to be if you like essential oils and how Indonesia was once part of the essential oil trade. Great guides and staffs that introduced us to plants, distillation methods, and the history of essential oil in Indonesia. The shops are great for souvenirs, and the food are above average. They also got wellness program for guests to stay in compound, I think it's totally worth it to try and participate in them. Do book in advance since they actually limit visitors capacity, and try to come early so you could explore the activities provided.
