★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reviewing the Royal Safari Garden feels like a trip down to memory lane. I started staying at this hotel from the early 2000s with my family (but my mom and dad did it first back in 1995). Every year Safari Garden Hotel always improves its best service and quality. No need to leave the hotel area, you can get all the entertainment at this hotel. But may i suggest to improve the pool area, especially the pool for adults. the pool is too small and shallow. Overall, great! Safari Garden Hotel always be my favorite hotel since day one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stay at here, we choose dolphin villa. And it was great, because still new and near with waterpark. We can see the animals, swimming at the water Park with free. The food is all you can eat, the menu isnt in my taste, but mostly great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been here several times with my children to play, but now it's a chance to stay. I booked the cheapest hotel room through a travel application, and it turned out that the building was an old building (Leopard), but it wasn't a problem for me. This place is perfect for those who have small children. There are many activities that can be done such as feeding fish, feeding rabbits, riding camel, riding horses, riding elephants, visiting Reptile Park (my child' fav), riding wara wiri, flying fox, bird park & bird show, touch the pony, and eating some snack (the Jolly popcorn is good). The place is spacious and the air is cool. If you don't want to eat at the restaurant, there are many places to eat right outside, there is also a mini market. Very strategic. I came here on a weekday and it was very quiet so I felt safe while playing. A very good choice for 'One Stop Shopping' for you and your child.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family enjoy staying in this hotel in spite of a couple low points (other reviews have mentioned it). We've stayed here several times over the years. We find giraffe room is brighter and more comfortable especially during low season. The leopard room has different vibe but it has resto at the top level which is convinient if it is raining outside.
The bird park is the biggest hit because those "nuri" birds are super friendly as long as you bring corn. They will climb, pose, and get close to you. The mini golf is pretty decent since it's the only putt-putt golf around Bogor. Yes, it is a bit old but we can play rounds.
Now, the hydrophonics is a place that I look forward. We've got romaine lettuce which is super delish for salad. Pak 'Ndang or Endang is friendly, honest, and helpful with the veggies. His customer service reminds me of what Bogor hospitality should be. So, thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Royal Safari has new building used for checkins, breakfast restaurant, some tenants and ATM center. Its great but the other hotel room is same, no improvement. I've been here couple of times, company-family gathering. They have this new building hotel, Giraffe, while the others look very old and dirty, especially Leopard, dont. The Giraffe is quite expensive than others as its new. Finally i have the chance to book Giraffe room for night. Entering the building, its dark but no scary thoughts. The room, is a let down, its not clean enough, the curtain has stained, the rolling door is hard to open, exhaust on bathroom aren't working. I do love that the room has plenty electrical plugins, good water pressure. We ordered pizza for dinner and it looked sad, very limited toppings and almost cold, probably due to far distance from lobby. Breakfast was okay, children under 5 is free but older children had to pay Rp. 68K, for a hotel charge its reasonable due to limited options in the breakfast menu, Nasi Goreng, Uduk, Mie ayam, sausege, standard hotel menu. While breakfast, we can see the animal lurking from glass windows. All in all, its a pleasant stay, they offered plenty animals inside it for kids to enjoy, huge Bird Park inside the hotel, African tour to see zebra etc and a cold watered waterboom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My childhood hotel used to stay at the Anoa room which is now sacrificed for a larger lobby.. Lobby is fine only lesser staff are in charge within this zone - i have no issue with the unloading things as I stayed at Giraffe Building, then again you gotta be self-servicing luggages since no one at the lobby area.
Room is quite clean only some details on the coffee rack got some stains from prev guest and hasn't been cleaned for a 3 PM check in. Inside room does pretty bothers us when the neighbor room is noisy ? Restaurant is good only foods are blend and quite pricey (well price to pay for an animal conservation hotel.
Well after all some minor repairs could be fixed in the future
Best things always seeing the animals and more animals mean more satisfaction

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here on 3-5 January, got the high season price for Panda room. The room itself is clean (except the curtain) but the common area (lobby, alley, elevator) is dusty.
The breakfast is acceptable, they offer many kinds of food, but the taste is average. Stayed 2 nights, we always had dinner from the in-house restaurant/cafe. We ordered sop buntut, sate maranggi, rice bowl, pisang bakar; all is good and worth the price.
We enjoyed many facilities; swimming pool (it’s too small compared to the overall area), reptil house, bird house, ponds, sports area, feeding rabbit, etc.
If possible, better bring your own bike rather than rent. We can bring the bike to our room.
The advantage of staying here is you can get discount price for taman safari ticket; 170k for adult and child in any day.
