★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restoran Sederhana berawal pada tahun 1972 dari sebuah rumah makan Padang kecil milik Bustaman di Pasar Bendungan Hilir, Jakarta. Dalam mengelola restorannya, Bustaman yang berasal dari Lintau, Sumatra Barat, selalu menyesuaikannya dengan lidah orang kebanyakan, sehingga ia mengurangi rasa pedas dalam masakan Padang buatannya. Ia juga memiliki hidangan khusus, yakni Ayam Pop yang telah dikenal luas.
Pada tahun 1997, Bustaman mematenkan merek dagang "Sederhana" ke Direktorat Jenderal Hak atas Kekayaan Intelektual, dan mewaralabakan merek tersebut. Sejak itu usahanya terus berkembang. Bustaman sempat bersengkata dengan Djamilus Djamil, salah seorang kerabatnya yang juga menggunakan merek dagang "Sederhana" pada restoran yang dikelolanya. Namun akhirnya mereka berdamai, dan Djamilus diwajibkan untuk menambahkan merek dagangnya menjadi "Sederhana Bintaro". Untuk melindungi merek Sederhana, pada tahun 2000 Bustaman membentuk perusahaan berbadan hukum yang diberi nama PT Sederhana Abadanmitra.
 Simple Restaurant started in 1972 as a small Padang restaurant owned by Bustaman in Pasar Bendungan Hilir, Jakarta. In managing his restaurant, Bustaman, who comes from Lintau, West Sumatra, always adjusts it to the tongue of most people, so he reduces the spicy taste in his Padang dishes. He also has a special dish, namely Pop Chicken which is widely known.
In 1997, Bustaman patented the trademark "Sederhana" to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights, and franchised the brand. Since then his business has continued to grow. Bustaman had an argument with Djamilus Djamil, one of his relatives who also used the trademark "Sederhana" at the restaurant he managed. But in the end they reconciled, and Djamilus was obliged to add his trademark to "Simplified Bintaro". To protect the Sederhana brand, in 2000 Bustaman formed a legal entity named PT Sederhana Abadanmitra.
