Sedangkan akan terlalu jauh dan trek yang buruk jika dari arah Kelapa Nunggal atau Citereup.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prasasti Pasir Awi adalah salah satu dari tujuh prasasti peninggalan kerajaan tertua di barat Pulau Jawa. Prasasti ini telah ditetapkan menjadi Benda Cagar Budaya peringkat nasional. Berbeda dengan keenam prasasti lainnya yang hampir seluruhnya berada di dekat aliran sungai, lokasi prasasti ini justru berada di perbukitan. Tepatnya di sebelah selatan bukit Pasir Awi (± 559 mdpl) di kawasan hutan di perbukitan Cipamingkis Kabupaten Bogor. Untuk bisa sampai ke lokasi prasasti, kita dapat melalui Jalan Sukaraja Dayeuh. Kemudian masuk ke jalan berbatuan dengan medan yang cukup menyulitkan kendaraan yang melaluinya. Selesai jalan berbatuan dilalui, selanjutnya dihadapkan dengan undakan anak tangga yang cukup curam. Setelah menaiki tangga itu, akhirnya sampailah di lokasi insitu tempat Prasasti Pasir Awi.
Sejarah prasasti ini tidaklah banyak diungkap. Hanya saja keberadaannya sudah diketahui sejak 1864. Ditemukan kali pertama oleh seorang arkeolog asal Belanda, bernama N.W. Hoepermans. S. Pada prasasti ini terdapat pahatan sepasang tapak kaki yang menghadap ke arah utara dan timur. Pahatan serupa juga ditemukan di Prasasti Ciaruteun dan Prasasti Pasir Jambu yang terletak di Kecamatan Cibungbulan dan Kecamatan Nanggung, Kabupaten Bogor. Pahatan tapak kaki tersebut dianggap sebagai tapak kaki milik Sri Purnawarman raja dari Kerajaan Taruma atau Tarumanegara. Kerajaan ini pernah berjaya pada abad ke-4 hingga abad ke-7 Masehi.
Selain pahatan kaki di prasasti Pasir Awi, tidak ditemukan adanya aksara yang dapat dibaca. Seperti yang ada di Prasasti Ciaruteun dan Pasir Jambu. Akan tetapi terdapat piktograf yang menggambarkan sebatang dahan dengan ranting-ranting dedaunan dan buah-buahan. Menurut Rogier Diederik Marius Verbeek piktograf tersebut menggambarkan angka tahun. Namun hingga saat ini belum ada satupun peneliti yang dapat membaca dan mengartikannya secara pasti.
The Pasir Awi Inscription is one of the seven oldest royal heritage inscriptions in the west of Java. This inscription has been designated a nationally ranked Cultural Object. Unlike the other six inscriptions which were almost entirely near the river, the location of this inscription was in the hills. Precisely to the south of the Pasir Awi hill (± 559 masl) in the forest area in the hills of Cipamingkis, Bogor Regency. To get to the location of the inscription, we can go through Jalan Sukaraja Dayeuh. Then entering the rocky road with a terrain that is quite difficult for vehicles passing through. The road was finished in a rocky road, then faced with a fairly steep staircase steps. After climbing the stairs, finally arrived at the location of the site where the Sand Awi Inscription.
The history of this inscription is not revealed much. It's just that its existence has been known since 1864. It was discovered the first time by an archaeologist from the Netherlands, named N.W. Hoepermans. S. In this inscription there is a sculpture of a pair of footprints facing north and east. Similar sculptures were also found in the Ciaruteun Inscription and Pasir Jambu Inscription located in Cibungbulan District and Nanggung District, Bogor Regency. The carvings of the footprints are considered to be the footprints of Sri Purnawarman, the king of Taruma Kingdom or Tarumanegara. This kingdom was victorious in the 4th century to the 7th century AD.
In addition to the foot carvings on the Pasir Awi inscription, no script can be found. As in the Ciaruteun and Pasir Jambu Inscriptions. However, there is a pictograph describing a branch with branches and leaves and fruits. According to Rogier Diederik Marius Verbeek pictograph illustrates the number of years. But until now no one researcher has been able to read and interpret it for sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jalannya cukup extreme bagi siapa yang mau berkunjung ke situs/prasasti pasir awi utamakan cek kendarraan anda sebelum naik ke lokasi, sesudah di lokasi minta ijin lah kepada warga setempat dan cintailah alam sekitar JANGAN BUANG SAMPAH SEMBARANGAN.
The road is quite extreme for those who want to visit the site/sand awi inscription, prioritize checking your vehicle before going up to the location, after being at the location, ask the local residents for permission and love the nature around DO NOT WASTE ACCEPTEDLY.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ tobat deh jalanan nya. 2km berbatu nanjak. motor sampe ngebul. istirahat dl . 600meter lagi.tapi karena di liat tambah nanjak. sepi & hampir tutup kita nyerah balik kanan. view jalan dayuh bagus. ternyata 1 jalur tujuan ke spot jembatan cipamingkis. curug cipamingkis, situ rawa gede , curug ciherang , villa kayangan & nirwana valley. ga kecewa karena view perbukitan mendampingi sepanjang perjalanan . ???
repent the street. 2km rocky climb. motor until it boils. rest etc. 600 meters again. But because the clay is increasing. quiet & almost closed we gave up right back. the view of the paddle road is good. it turns out that the destination is 1 route to the cipamingkis bridge spot. Cipamingkis waterfall, large swamp lake, Ciherang waterfall, heaven villa & nirvana valley. not disappointed because the view of the hills accompanies you along the way. ️

The place is in the highlands, access can be via Jonggol Dayeuh or through Jonggol Cioray. The surrounding scenery is green and beautiful. Motocross, MTB and Trekking hobbyists must stop by.
