Sore juga macet, arus pulang. Kadang tidak pagi tidak sore juga macet lha wong tingkat pertumbuhan kendaraan bermotor tidak bisa dikendalikan. Tidak tahu beberapa tahun ke depan, apakah tambah semakin macet atau tidak.

Mudah untuk diucapkan namun seringkali diabaikan dengan berbagai macam alasan, terlambat, kejar setoranm nyari rejeki. Perempatan condong catur merupakan perempatan sibuk karena di sebelah timur terdapat beberapa universitas ternama yaitu Univ Sanata Dharma, UPN, STIE YKPN, UII. Dari selatan yang berasal dari Gejayan hendak menuju keluar dari arah pusat kota dengan lebar jalan yang belum ada perkembangan sehingga menyebabkan antrian panjang. Dari arah barat merupakan sambungan Ring Road beberapa adalah kendaraan antar kota antar propinsi. Dari utara berasal dari warga yang hendak beraktivitas di kota dengan kecepatan yang rendah, dan kendaraan kecil.
Beberapa kali kecelakaan terjadi di perempatan Condong Catur ini, ada nya pos polisi diharapkan dapat meminimalisir kejadian ini. Para petugas lebih nyaman stand by sehingga dapat mengurai kemacetan panjang yang sewaktu – waktu terjadi. Kewaspadaan pengendara juga ditingkatkan, bukan berarti sadar keselamatan namun lebih kepada takut sanksi.
Pro dan kontra selalu ada, untuk nyawa tidak ada toleransi. Tindakan tegas para penegak hokum diperlukan untuk memberikan efek jera dan mencegah kejadian yang lebih parah. Pengendara sadar bahwa ada pos polisi sehingga tidak nge blong / menerabas lampu merah, yang pas kebagian lampu hijau bisa yakin menjalankan kendaraan karena dari sebelah lain akan berhenti. Kelengkapan berkendara juga dilengkapi untuk mengurangi kemungkinan terjadi kecelakaan dan mengurangi efek dari kecelakaan jika terpaksa terjadi.
