★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dahulunya Polsek Jatiwangi merupakan bekas Kantor Districk Jatiwangi pada masa Hindia Belanda. Buktinya adalah Ornamen Arsitektur Bangunan, Keramik Lantai, Atap kayu yang masih asli serta Patung Bangau yang letaknya diatas bangunan seperti khas unik di Eropa. Dan ini merupakan warisan pembangunan masa Hindia Belanda.
Selain itu di depan kantor districk tersebut terdapat jalur KA Cirebon-Kadipaten yang dinaungi oleh perusahaan SCS yang dapat memudahkan mobilitas transportasi barang dan jasa, sehingga kepala distrik selalu terhubung dengan daerah ramai lainnya seperti Cirebon Hingga ke Semarang.
Sebelumnya, Kantor ini pembangunannya berbarengan Pabrik Gula Jatiwangi pada tahun 1848. Menurut sesepuh gedung ini dahulunya juga pernah jadi Markas Polisi Belanda.
Sesudah pada masa Hindia Belanda. Kantor ini diambil alih pada masa pendudukan Jepang yang menjadi markas Polisi Jepang atau dinamakan Junsa.
Dalam buku Selayang Pandang Sejarah Majalengka juga ada keterangan yang sama yakni pada tahun 1940-1941 terdapat pasukan kavaleri berkuda tentara Belanda atau Husar yang dipimpin oleh kapten Berreenschoot yg kemudian beliau tewas akibatnya kecelakaan pesawat terbang. Setelah Jepang datang, ada Junsa atau polisi Jepang menguasai gedung ini.
Hingga kini, Polsek Jatiwangi ini masih dipertahankan keaslian cagar budaya dalam UU RI No 11 tahun 2010. Salah satunya mengembalikan warna putih ornamen bangunan di balik Kantor Polsek Jatiwangi.
Formerly the Jatiwangi Police Station was a former Jatiwangi Districk Office during the Dutch East Indies. The proof is the Architectural Building Ornaments, Ceramic Floors, original wooden roofs and Stork Statues which are located above the building as unique in Europe. And this is a legacy of the development of the Dutch East Indies era.
In addition, in front of the districk's office there is the Cirebon-Kadipaten railroad under the auspices of the SCS company that can facilitate the mobility of transportation of goods and services, so that the district head is always connected with other busy areas such as Cirebon to Semarang.
Previously, this office was built in conjunction with the Jatiwangi Sugar Factory in 1848. According to the elders of this building, it had also once been a Dutch Police Headquarters.
After the Dutch East Indies period. This office was taken over during the Japanese occupation which became the headquarters of the Japanese Police or called Junsa.
In the book History of Majalengka at a glance there is also the same information that in the year 1940-1941 there were cavalry troops mounted by the Dutch army or Husar led by captain Berreenschoot which he later died as a result of an aircraft accident. After the Japanese arrived, there was Junsa or the Japanese police in control of this building.
Until now, the Jatiwangi Police Station is still maintained the authenticity of cultural heritage in RI Law No. 11 of 2010. One of them returns the white color of the building ornaments behind the Jatiwangi Police Station.
