★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tahun 1998 saya pernah kesini mengantarkan teman saya teknisi jaringan internet, untuk memperbaiki jaringan kabel optik yang terputus dari gedung generator/turbin ke kantor PLTP yang jaraknya ada sekitar 2 km kurang lebih.
Pekerjaan dimulai dari ruang turbin yg guedenya banget deh. Getaran suara turbin berasa sekali bikin jantung serasa mau copot.. ?
Dengan peralatan yang kami bawa, kami selusuri kabel optik dan memeriksanya pada titik-titik tertentu.
Yg bikin ngeri ngeri sedap ketika kami harus memeriksa di pertengahan antara gedung turbin dan kantor. Di titik itu yang kami perkirakan putusnya jaringan karena kabel optiknya pecah. Jam 10an malam, gelap gulita, hutan, dan 2 orang harus turun dari mobil (kami cuma bertiga). Yg bikin merinding karena beberapa menit sebelumnya kami mendengar suara auman macan di kejauhan.. sedap..!
Sambil ketawa, harus ada yg turun dari mobil siapa nanti yang menyalami si macan kalau ketemu, terus ngomong apa kalau ketemu.. ? candaan untuk menghilangkan rasa takut.. ? Memang teman saya yang teknisi agak takut untuk turun dari mobil, tapi karena terget waktu sebelum pagi harus sudah terhubung internet nya, mau ga mau ya harus turun juga. Untuk mengurangi rasa takut, mobil saya hadapkan ke pinggir jalan dimana kabel optik berada. Jadi posisi mobil melintang di jalan. Saya yakinkan teman kalau si maung ga bakal berani mendekat ke sinar lampu. Kalau seandainya masih mendekat juga nanti saya klakson² dan gas mobil saya gerung² biar si maung ketakutan, kataku pada teman. Mesin mobil tidak saya matikan dan saya standby di mobil sambil mengawasi keadaan, kataku lagi. Akhirnya teman mau juga turun dan memeriksa kabel. Benar, ternyata di titik itu ada kabel optik yang pecah karena ada bekas terlindas traktor (mau pasang tiang tuh traktor). Kami perbaiki malam itu juga di situ. Aku yg berada di mobil sendirian juga agak merinding sambil mengawasi keadaan sekitar. Alhamdulillah akhirnya pekerjaan perbaikan selesai juga.
In 1998, I was here to take my friend an internet network technician, to repair the optical cable network that was disconnected from the generator / turbine building to the PLTP office, which is about 2 km away.
The work starts from the turbine room, which is really a design. The vibrating sound of the turbine made the heart feel like it was about to dislodge .. ?
With the equipment we carry, we trace the optical cable and inspect it at specific points.
It was creepy when we had to check in the middle between the turbine building and the office. At that point, we expect the network to break because the optical cable is broken. At 10pm, it was pitch black, the forest, and 2 people had to get out of the car (only three of us). Which makes goosebumps because a few minutes earlier we heard the roar of a tiger in the distance .. delicious ..!
While laughing, someone has to get out of the car who's going to greet the tiger when he finds him, what to say when he finds it .. ? a joke to get rid of fear .. ? Indeed, my friend who is a technician is a little afraid to get out of the car, but because of the timing before morning you have to connect to the internet, you have to go down too. To reduce fear, I turned the car toward the side of the road where the optical cable was. So the position of the car across the road. I assure my friends that the maung will not dare to get close to the light. If it's still close, I'll honk and gas my car so that I'm scared, I tell a friend. I did not turn off the car engine and I was standby in the car watching the situation, I said again. Finally a friend wanted to go down and check the cables. True, it turned out that at that point there was an optical cable that broke because it had been run over by a tractor (want to install a tractor pole). We fixed it there that night. I, who was in the car alone, also got goosebumps while watching the surroundings. Alhamdulillah, finally the repair work was finished.
