i like place because it is open space and has many plants. this resto has javanese concept with the building and some menus. good for gathering.. i think you can rent this place for some events like wedding too. maybe you won't notice this resto from the main street because they have a big parking space that look like a super big garage. so you have to enter that first. and this place hide behind that big garage.

It's kind of weird resto that aren't easy to find because the entrance is kind of barn from street views.

Hidden place on Jalan Ngeksigondo. Good for snacks. Quirky interior with Javanese house in the middle. Drinks start at IDR 6,000 - local faves such as milk, various Jamu, and fresh juices. Main courses are available in two sizes : small & large for IDR 22,000 and IDR 37,000 respectively. Comes with torch ginger chilli sauce. Had the chicken, which was good and tasty, tofu soup was good and all these are paired with the steamed cassava. Sides available are tempe, corn fritter, fried & steamed cassava. Serve local sweet snacks such as banana fritters and Jenang Jempol. Service is rather slow and waiters tend to hangout by themselves.

It's the combination of Culinary Oasis, Javanese Hospitality, and Ethnic Ambience. That you'll get peculiar experience you can never found on another side of Yogyakarta. In the kitchen, it discovered menu combination that never considered seen or even exist before. What about fried chicken with passion fruit seasoning? Done. What about Rawon (traditional Javanese beef soup), rather than served with rice, it served with baked cassava? Done. What about tempe (soy bean cake) with pumpkin dipping sauce? Done. What about beverage that combine ginger, red sugar, soy bean, and herbs on a glass? Done. Not to mention that it got authentic coffe corner "Kopi Gedor", that served coffee as original as is, from fresh coffee bean brewed on the high ground of Indonesia.

Cozy, with reasonably-priced good food & beverage. And the vintage motorbikes (and also that particular Fiat 1400) give a slightly different atmosphere; nice touch.

Visiting this place with my two cousins five days ago. They often come here to enjoy not only the meals, but also the calm ambience of the Pendopo. Once we got there, I was wondering why I see only huge parking area and a coffee corner that was not be well taken care of. I asked my cousin who is friend of the owner and she said they will soon open the coffee shop once it’s ready. I nodded and just followed her down with my brain was still questioning where the pendopo is. We went downstairs and finally got to the place. It is true beautiful. With spotlights here and there, I saw a huge Javanese Pendopo on my left side with tables and chairs, and gebyok on the right side. In between those two, there are two set of tables and chairs under the moon and stars. We chosed to sit there while waiting for our dinner. They have plenty of yummy dishes and unique drinks. Markisa asem is one of the best drinks so far. Their tempe mendoan was so good because of the sambal ijo that well accompanied it. And the nasi goreng sambal ijo was so yummy, although I liked the bakmi godog as well. The price are also affordable, price ranges from 7-30K. Definitely this is a very nice, calm, and cozy place to hang out and enjoy traditional meals. The staffs are friendly and helpful. All are wearing mask. Clean place with a sink to wash your hands. Toilet is also clean. Oh they are cat friendly also! That’s what I love about them.
