★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you've tried the real se'i from kupang, this se'i is a big no no. Very less hint of smokey flavor. The mentai sauce tasted too sweet , no acidity like how mentai sauce should be. Cassava leaves was also too sweet and mushy. Corn butter rice, for me the butter they use is not suitable to be paired with rice. My suggest, to change the butter with 'minyak samin' or another butter that has more savory smell.
Sambal tempong, it was okay. Luckily i ordered it so it helped me to finish the meals. If you add more acidity to the sambal it would be better.
Lemongrass tea was the champ here. I like it, probably will visit this place only for the lemongrass tea
