★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a quiet temple area in a rural small town. You have to carefully look for the place since it is a bit hard and has minimum road sign. It's better to go here via the route of the jot springs rather than through Jatingaleh especially if you go by car.
You only have to pay for parking if you want to go here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ngempon Temple, locally known as Candi Ngempon, is a small temple complex set in a quiet Javanese village. The temples used yo be a jumble of stones but four of them have now been restored. They belong to the earliest style of Javanese temples from the 7th to 8th centuries. There is some attractive decoration including demonic kala heads, large birds and geometric patterns. There's also a yoni and linga. Entry to the complex is 4000 rupiah for a car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately this temple complex is temporarily closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The walk to the temple gate is lovely and one can also take a picture from the outside.
