Affordable, fast, effective and comfortable. The waiting room also large, clean and the service guys are so informative.
From Tugu to YIA and vice versa only takes about 40 minutes. Enjoy the nice view too when you are on the train. Love it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yogyakarta International Airport railway station is one of the public transport to reach Yogyakarta city and probably the cheapest way to city center with only IDR 20k ticket price.
Timetable and reservation can be made via KAIaccess app or in station entrance. If you don't have app, no worries, customer service can help you.
Train still using Diesel-multiple-unit trainset and govt plans to replace with electrified cars for faster acceleration.
The journey with airport train takes 39 minutes to Yogyakarta station with only stop in Wates station. After arrival in Yogyakarta station, passengers could proceed to another public transport such as Solo-Yogya commuter line to Solo City and intercity trains. Or alight in Yogyakarta station to use Transjogja bus rapid to your final destination.
