β β β β β A colleague recommended me this restaurant during my visit to Yogyakarta and it surely doesn't disappoint!
Came here with a friend on Thursday night and we were put on the waiting list, had to wait for around 30 minutes until seated. So it's better to do a reservation first.
We ordered tuna tataki, spaghetti aglio olio, focaccia gourmet, and melting chocolate cake. All of them tastes great and definitely worth the price! The place is spacious and ambience is great, the service is also nice. Overall it's a very recommended restaurant to visit?

β β β β β Authentic southern France resto. Quite a cozy place for family. Foods are good and tasteful. It's worth for the price. Many expatriates visit here since it's a well known community for them. There is a store inside the resto for bakery and food stuff. Overall is very recommended resto

β β β β β Updated with part 2 - Rsvp first, trust me. And remember to order decently, cause the portion here was pretty huge. This place was almost always being fully packed everytime we passed it by, and I now know why.
This restaurant has a very wide range of serious menus on French Mediterranean food, with a really big portion, and a very affordable price. By serious menu, I mean they cook and prepare their menus very properly, as how the original recipes mostly are. The food you get here will be almost similar to the food that you will get at its' place of origin. In other words; authentic.
We ordered Mushroom Soup, Pasta Crosta, and Lamb Shank.
The Mushroom Soup was really nice, not so creamy but definitely plenty of mushroom. With a slice of toasted bread dipped into the soup, it was so heavenly.
Their Pasta Crosta was actually the winner. It was baked crusty penne with plenty of cheese and beef bacon. They cooked the paste really proper, at al dente after being baked, not mushy and still have that enjoyable texture on them. Really nice. And even they use creamy and cheesy sauce, the overall taste was really yummy. Hubbie never really like creamy pasta, but he love this one so much that he ate half of it.
Lamb Shank; our jaw almost dropped to the table when the lamb shank came in lol. It was so huge! The portion was bigger than my husband's head lol. We really didn't expect that. They cooked it very properly, too. The meat was very tender, tasty, and juicy. The herbs, spices, and vegetables were soaked on sauce, and the quinoa was yummy. We couldn't finish it since we already had the other two menus before, but it was really worthed. Beyond our expectation on all aspects lol.
The people were very helpful and friendly, service was fast and effective, place was very stylish, cozy, and spacious. Price was very affordable.
They also have wide range of desserts, which I will try tomorrow lol. I couldn't try it today, I was already too full.
You could also buy healthy food, pastry, and bakery here. They have small shop dedicated to healthy food like almond nuts, sea salt, prum, etc. And small selections of yummy croissant, danish, or soft cookies.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we will definitely go back!
Update:
We went here again for lunch, and this time we ordered the caesar salad, duck confit, and menu of the day which was panseared tuna with lime rice.
Everything was so yummy. I don't normally like tuna, but the tuna here was so fresh, and all of the sauce, combined with the tune and lime rice, were sooo perfect. Even the paprika was so sweet lol.
The caesar salad was super huge! It was for 2-3 people I think, and it came with a basket of warm bread.
And the duck confit with bread was beyond expectation. This kind of menu is a special one, not every restaurant could get it right. We loveee it so much!
Even the cappucino with oat milk that we ordered was delicious. They served it with a chocolate and a cookie. I put the chocolate into ths coffee and stir it together. Perfection.
We definitely love this restaurant and will be back whenever we visit Jogja again. Very recommended!

β β β β β Good place to eat foreign foods! Itβs a bit fusion but in a good way!
Staffs are very friendly, foods are good while I personally not prefer to order steak here (not saying the steak is not good, but there are many different fusion options taste more interesting and worth trying)

β β β β β Excellent bakery goods, especially the croissants. The restaurant offers complete breakfast, fresh juices and of course coffee, tea and chocolate. For our moslem bros and sis be careful real 'bacon' is served, so you need to make sure you don't order the wrong one.

β β β β β The food is still number 1 and only favorite in Yogyakarta. We love everything they serve here. Staffs are very nice too. But the dine in experience went a little off recently. Nothing bad. They still doing a great job and working extremely hard to please everyone which is uneasy. But the fact that this restaurant is always full booked, especially the non smoking area, i recommend you to book at least 2 days before if you want for special occasion. As the restaurant always full, the waiting time for food gets longer too, very acceptable but if you dine with kids or you are too hungry, this can be a little annoying. To me personally, delivery order can be best option if you are in no time, same food taste & quality and less waiting time.
Those all happen because Mediterranea is loved by so many, so with that being said, people obviously come here to eat and enjoy the food. I feel so bad when i see people working from here take their time and chill while many people in the waiting list, waiting for a table. Please have some commonsense and emphaty to others. Cheers
