★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sekedar menceritakan asal usul dari kyai Gading Santren atau Kyai Syarifuddin atau Raden Mas Sasongko versi keluarga saya. Beliau adalah putra dari Susuhunan Pakubuwana ll, dengan ibu seorang wanita dari Jetis Tegalsari Ponorogo, pernikahan itu terjadi saat PB ll mengungsi ke Ponorogo karena geger pacinan di Kartasura. Setelah geger pacinan bisa ditumpas, PB II kembali ke keraton, sedangkan istrinya tetap tinggal di Ponorogo. Semasa kecil hingga baligh, RM Sasongko di-didik di pesantren milik kakeknya, Kyai Ageng Mohammad Besari, ketika sudah dewasa, sesuai dengan wasiat ayahandanya beliau pergi dari pesantren Tegalsari untuk mencari rumah ayahnya, yaitu rumah dengan halaman paling luas di Surakarta (halaman yg dimaksud adalah alun2 utara) dan bertinggal disana (kraton Surakarta). Dikarenakan tidak cocok dengan kehidupan keraton yang berbeda jauh dengan kehidupan pesantren, maka RM Sasongko meminta izin keluar dari keraton, oleh pihak keraton diberi tanah perdikan yang sekarang letaknya di klaten utara. Di tanah perdikan ini beliau menjadi mubaligh dan menyebarkan agama Islam, beliau mendapat julukan kyai Gading Santren. Gading artinya gajah, diartikan secara umum sebagai simbol anak raja, santren/pesantren artinya tempat menimba ilmu agama
Just to tell the origin of the kyai Gading Santren or Kyai Syarifuddin or Raden Mas Sasongko my family version. In this perdikan land he became a missionary and spread Islam, he was nicknamed the kyai Gading Santren.
