Konon, kewalian Syekh Subakir diyakini masyarakat luas lantaran memiliki kekuatan luar biasa dalam mengusir lelembut yang ada di tanah Jawa.
Syekh Subakir yang merupakan ulama dari Iran diutus ke tanah Jawa bersama dengan Wali Songo periode pertama untuk berdakwah agama Islam. Dalam berbagai cerita, Syekh Subakir merupakan ulama yang diberi amanah berdakwah ke Pulau Jawa oleh Sultan Muhammad I dari Istanbul, Turki tahun 1404 M

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saya memohon bantuan Dengan Sangat Agar pengelola makam & Pihak keamanan Yg Terkait di komplek makam Syekh subakir agar lebih diperketat Keamananya supaya Pengunjung bisa Nyaman Dan Aman,
Karna pada Bulan Juli kemarin Saya hendak ziarah Kesana bersama rombongan, saya tanya teman saya yg nyantri dimagelang katanya makam nya buka, tapi kenapa disaat tiba disana Tutupan, dan ternyata ada oknum yg menawarkan jalan Pintas dari kampung untuk menuju kesana dan dipungut biaya (pungli) / Ngentel (jawa) pertravel 100k dan per bus 300k.
Saya awalnya mau ngasih tapi tidak jadi, dikarenakan kawan saya ada yg mengetahui bahwa yg mau ngentel tadi tetnyata meminum minuman keras (mabuk) tidak pantas sama sekali komplek makam sesepuh leluhur tanah jawa tengah Di jadikan tempat mabuk.

I initially wanted to give it but I didn't, because some of my friends knew that the one who wanted to get drunk was actually drinking liquor (drunk) it wasn't appropriate at all that the tomb complex of the ancestral elders of Central Java was used as a drunken place.

Terlihat kebersihan sangat dijaga dengan baik dan sangat tertib, bahkan terlihat ada CCTV terpasang di area sebagai antisipasi jika terjadi hal-hal yang tidak diharapkan.
Tiket masuk terhitung sabgat murah, dengan Rp.3.000,- pengunjung bisa menikmati keindahan hutan lindung/hutan kota sekaligus wisata religi di area situs.
Terdapat beberapa spot destinasi seperti Maqom Syekh Subakir, Maqom Kyai Geseng, Maqom Sepanjang, Maqom Eyang Ismoyo, dsb.
Di tengah Kota Magelang,
di tengah lapangan di atas Gunung Tidar terdapat sebuah Tugu dengan simbol huruf Jawa terbaca "Sa", tertuliskan di tiga sisinya yang menurut penuturan juru kunci, bermakna "Sapa Salah Seleh" (Siapa Salah Ketahuan Salahnya).
Tugu inilah yang dipercaya sebagian orang sebagai Pakunya Tanah Jawa, yang membuat tanah Jawa tetap tenang dan aman.
Gunung yang terletak di pinggir selatan kota Magelang yang kebetulan berada tepat di bagian tengah Pulau Jawa tersebut memang berbentuk kepala paku, karena itu Gunung Tidar dikenal luas sebagai “pakuning tanah jawa”
