I previously visited one of Kong Djie's outlet and I genuinely enjoyed the taste and the aroma. Tried their 'Kopi Engkong' and it seems their coffee taste great everywhere, but this place serve 'Kue Balok' which quite a perfect match with what I had.

We order some ice coffee at this place and have it delivered to our breakfast location near this place. Service was good and fast. Coffee taste great and refreshing. This branch make better coffee compared to other branches.

Hmn... delicious coffee just for rp 12.000. Try also bakmi udang (shrimp noodle) rp 25.000 and small crab cake rp 25.000. You will always have good memories for these cuisines.

Best known for their legendary coffee in the island of Belitung, the outlet here didn't disappoint in that regard. The only disappointment for me was that they didn't have the sweet sauce that complement the fried blue swimming crab ( rajungan goreng) like in Belitung.

Established since 1943, Kong Djie is the oldest coffee shop in Belitung which was originally owned by Ho Kong Djie, a Chinese nomad from Bangka island. Currently the business is expanding nationwide through franchise concept where they provide the ingredients & barista for each outlets. As Belitung has no coffee plantation, the coffee used here is of Java & Sumatra origin, which is arabica-mixed coffee. Like most of traditional coffee shop, the coffee here is strong with nice inviting aroma which really wakes your senses in the morning. A cup of (hot) Kopi Susu is always my favorite pick for breakfast, accompanied with a loaf of Kaya Toast. The toast used 1 slice of thick type of bread covered in kaya spread on its upper side ? (not the sandwiched type). Also tried the Iced Kopi Susu but it was too sweet (too much of condensed milk I guess) so we prefer the hot one. During our visit, the service was quite slow especially when the crowds peaked up. The order sequence was chaotic and we had to remind them over & over again about our order. They should also pay better attention to the shop’s cleanliness to maintain a cozy ambience.

Place opens early enough and closes pretty late. There are seven tables inside, each accommodating 4 seats. The place is rather open, with fans instead of air conditioners. There may be people smoking inside, so that's on the bad side. In the good side, the place is rather spacious. Service is good, though it's not something I'd call fast. The food is pretty good, though not something I can call exceptional. The coffee is better, compared to some other shops.
