★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kelurahan Jagalan adalah salah satu kelurahan di kecamatan Semarang Tengah. Letaknya di tengah kota kota Semarang. Posisinya yang strategis membuat wilayah kelurahan Jagalan padat. Pemukiman warga rapat dan sempit. Jarang dijumpai RTH (Ruang Terbuka Hijau) atau taman kota. Sehingga warga yang tinggal di wilayah ini harus pergi ke Simpang Lima atau tempat lain untuk dapat menikmati tanah lapang.
Beberapa sekolah terdapat di wilayah kelurahan Jagalan. Seperti SD-SMP-SMA Mataram, Sekolah Nusaputera, SD Islam Al JIhad, dll.
Mata pencaharian warganya bermacam-macam. Strata ekonominya pun bervariatif. Khas warga perkotaan. Etnis yang tinggal di wilayah ini majemuk. Kebanyakan suku Jawa dan warga keturunan yang bermukim lama. Sehingga dalam keseharian mereka berbaur bersama.
