Sate Winong Purworejo adalah olahan sate berbahan utama daging kambing muda. Umur kambing yang digunakan harus kurang dari enam bulan, sehingga daging yang dihasilkan lebih empuk dari kambing yang lebih tua. Namun ada yang berbeda dari racikan Sate Winong. Makanan khas itu dibumbui kecap yang khusus dibuat sendiri. Kecap khusus itu dibuat dari gula kelapa serta campuran berbagai bumbu. Untuk menambah rasa, kecap ditaburi irisan daun jeruk nipis. Sate disajikan dalam piring, dilengkapi bawang merah, tomat dan kadang-kadang irisan kol.

Sate Winong Purworejo is a processed satay made from young goat meat. The age of the goat used must be less than six months, so that the meat produced is more tender than the older goats. But there is something different from Sate Winong's concoction. The typical food is seasoned with special soy sauce. The special soy sauce is made from coconut sugar and a mixture of various spices. To add flavor, soy sauce is sprinkled with lime leaves. Satay served on a plate, complete with shallots, tomatoes and sometimes sliced cabbage.
