Big room, clean, friendly employees, good service. This hotel never disappoint me, either the hotel or the bar⦠always have a good service.
I also like thier pool! Itβs deep and big, good for western people or tall people who want to swim.
The breakfast also good. Many choices!
Iβm falling in love with this hotel.

β β β β β This is the 3rd time that I have stayed at Raffles and the hotel and staff are the jewels of the crown.
POSITIVES / PROS
1. STAFF: First and foremost, it is the staff that make this hotel a wonderful establishment that many keep on returning to for their Jakarta city stay. The staff are friendly, highly attentive, courteous and professional. They tend to your every need. I had a personal butler (online) and he or she responded to my text within seconds to minutes. Secondly, they always have a smile for you, address you formally by your name, never forget your name and helpful. There is a warmth to the staff that no other hotel has and I am always impressed by them.
2. GORGEOUS AND VERY CLEAN ROOMS: The rooms are gorgeously designed and spacious. I stayed at the Garden Suite that overlooked the pool and garden grounds. The room is always cleaned to the highest standards. The housekeeping staff leave lovely notes, a fun towel arrangement and note everything in your room to leave it to your liking.
3. AMBIENCE AND DECOR: The hotel is one of the more glamorous ones but definitely has an " old style - Asian art deco " to it. The "old" is not a bad thing at all - in fact, it's one of the things that make it charming and a favourite of mine due to the old-school glamour and elegance of a long-gone time.
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT / CONS:
1. QUALITY OF FOOD: The quality of food for the price has decreased since I was there in January 2022 for the following reasons:
- The breakfast (if you order it with the room) is quite expensive for the selection and somewhat cold items on buffet. $ 29 Singaporean dollars (or $ 20 USD) for a breakfast buffet that had very meagre options (and some were leftovers from the dinner - such as the mashed potato turned into potato cream soup) is not the quality I expected from Raffles.
- The nasi goreng that I ordered at the Writer's Bar had a cold wagyu steak in the centre and the outside had a cover of white grease which tells me that it was not cooked fresh or served directly from grill right away.
- The temperature of the food was never hot enough or fresh enough (e.g. chicken rice arrived 1 hr late for in-dine experience and it was cold).
- The stalls with Indonesian meals for dinner looked very appetizing and pretty but the quality of the meals was not as excellent as it looked.
- The timeliness of the order was not excellent : The in-dine experience of chicken rice order was delayed by 1 hr. The order of soft boiled eggs during breakfast took over 20 minutes!
- Although the pastries, cakes and desserts looked stunning, the quality of some of them were sub-par (e.g. the panacotta was too tough and rubbery like jello bc it was mixed with pudding mix to compensate for the actual cheese).
* Note: The staff were ever so excellent and attentive though. I feel that if it wasn't for the staff, I would have complained about the quality and flavour of the food. I found out that the staff was changed from January 2022 and it was a new set of chefs cooking. This might have something to do with the lowered quality of food. My suggestion: Eat outside as Jakarta has a lot of wonderful, fine dining options with much better quality and taste of food.

β β β β β This is the number one hotel in Jakarta by far, I have stayed at other 5 star hotels in Jakarta (only when Raffles is completely booked) in my opinion this is the only full 5 star hotel in Jakarta, the Butler service is exceptional, the room service is so good you'll never want to leave the room, but when you do leave the room, you really get royal treatment, beautiful hotel is only outshined by their exquisite staff, truly a pleasure to stay here.

β β β β β One of the best 5 star hotels in Jakarta with easy access and close to shopping centers. Luxury can be felt from entering the front door to the room. The service of the hotel staff is very good, friendly and responsive. A large swimming pool with specifications for an adult pool, a children's pool and a jacuzzi. There is quite big and nice garden beside the swimming pool. Good breakfast food but less variety. I occupied the artist suite during my stay. the room is spacious, the arrangement and interior is very good. although the price is expensive but worth it with what is given, it is worth to try. makes me want to go back there again.. and thank you so much for the doll

β β β β β Super amazing luxurious holistic experience. We got stuck on a 10 day quarantine and that seemed to be a disaster in the beginning. But the hotel and its stuff made their best to turn it into a super pleasant state that we enjoyed a lot my husband said, that he would live like that :))
The restaurant offers both European and Asian menus, the selection of deserts is amazing.
Room is super spacious in the well-equipped call mom the bonus was that everything the cabinet, the bathroom and the bedroom or connected with special moving doors and you can go around in a circle.
And the hotel also has a gym, that we were not allowed to attend, but we were provided with the yoga mats and dumbbells.
There is a big pool and the garden on the 14th floor, that is an oasis in the city jungle.
All I know I would highly recommend staying here, as a hotel has facilities for a nice day
