Pada masa pemerintahan Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono VII, warga Tionghoa meminta izin mendirikan tempat ibadah. Selanjutnya pada tanggal 15 Agustus 1900 Keraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat menghibahkan tanah seluas 1150 m2. Atas usaha Mayor Tionghoa bernama Yap Ping Liem, di atas tanah tersebut didirikan Kelenteng Fuk Ling Miau. Semenjak tahun 1940-an, perkembangan kelenteng mulai mengalami kemunduran karena keturunan Tionghoa selanjutnya kurang berminat mewarisi tradisi.
During the reign of Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono VII, Chinese citizens asked for permission to build a place of worship. Furthermore, on August 15, 1900, the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace granted 1150 m2 of land. With the efforts of a Chinese major named Yap Ping Liem, the Fuk Ling Miau Temple was built on the land. Since the 1940s, the development of the temple began to decline because further Chinese descendants were less interested in inheriting the tradition. After the G30SPKI incident, the then mayor of Yogyakarta, Soedjono A.Y., warned a Chinese citizen named Tirto Winoto that the Yogyakarta government would take over the Fuk Ling Miau and Tjen Ling Kiong temples if they were still not taken care of. Finally, a foundation was established in October 1974 with the aim of forming three sections, namely Buddhism (Cetya Buddha Praba or Sinar Sang Buddha), Taoism (Tao Pek Kong), and Confucianism (Gate of Virtue). Currently, Fuk Ling Miau Temple (Hokkien = Hok Ling Bio) or Gondomanan Temple is a place of worship for the people of Confucianism and Buddhism, located in DI Yogyakarta. This temple is under the auspices of the Indonesian Buddhist Council with the name Prabha Gondomanan Buddhist Temple. The Fuk Ling Miau building became a cultural heritage on 26 March 2007 under the Order of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. PM.25 / PW.007 / MKP / 2007.
