★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The quality is definitely better than the one in Plaza Indonesia. The place is bigger and beautifully decorated with Chinese imerial theme. The meat is fresher, evenly cut, and nicely presented. If you are craving for Eight Treasures, go here. No need to be worried about the place to be fully booked. Very recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2 Mar 2020: One of the better steam boat place to go for in Jakarta. Have had been to #Eight Treasure several times, at different of their outlets, both at Plaza Indonesia and Pacific Place. The quality of food is quite consistent. The price is a bit premium, but you get the quality food. I find the meat they serve is fresh. The menu has a varieties of fresh meat and vegetable, mushroom and cooked finger food such as fried fish skin. Just to name a few of the fresh meat: slice Iberico pork, fish paste, chicken and beef. You can choose the base soup from the menu which it serve separately in a individual pot, which i find it hygienic as compared to the big pot serving to share among everyone.
Each table is served with a variety of condiments where you can make your own dip sauce. The condiments includes chopped garlic, chopped spring onions, chopped red chili, and soy sauce. There’s also a chili sauce provided if you wish to have just that.
The ambiance is conducive, decorated with oriental style interior. Cleanliness: 7/10. Personnel responsiveness: 7/10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pre-covid, my colleagues and I used to frequent 8T almost once a week. It is one of the best hotpot spots in Jakarta - flavourful broth and quality ingredients + good ambience. Never too noisy, and staff is attentive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took weekend lunch with my wife here. Ordered their pork bone soup and collagen soup as base but wasnt so happy with the taste of the pork bone. It was way below my expectation for that price. Their prawn paste and pork paste are always amazing! However, the beef was very dry. You can see from the picture. Just a so-so experience here

Food was great, but service? It was great back then in about 3yrs back, but now? It’s terrible. I feel like I don’t want to pay for a service charge for their bill now.
I am coming back again today April 10th with 2 of my Singaporean friends. Let’s see if you have done better now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think they don't use MSG, because post-eating i do not feel thirsty at all. All is fresh, and of good taste. It was kinda expensive, but what you're getting is worth its price.
I spent almost 700k idr for 2 soups and of the pics below.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although the ambiance of the restaurant is not as impressive as its exterior decor, but the taste of its dishes make it all up.
The meat and fish that we - I, my husband and my son - ordered were very fresh. The soup bases were delicious. We ordered three different bases, one for each of us. For me, I ordered herb chicken soup for the base. The herbs were very subtle yet savory.
The homemade shrimp meatball paste was very special, too.
