Direktorat Jenderal Hortikultura dalam perkembangan organisasinya selalu dinamis dan berkembang mengikuti tuntutan perkembangan agribisnis di lapang mengingat perkembangan produk agribisnis hortikultura sangat potensial dan prospektif dimasa mendatang yang memerlukan pendekatan pertanian terpadu (PPT), serta permintaan dan prospek pasar yang terus berkembang seiring perkembangan jumlah penduduk, tingkat kesejahteraan dan pendapatan masyarakat.
The Directorate General of Horticulture is the Echelon I work unit within the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture which is stipulated by Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 9 of 2005 concerning Position, Duties and Functions of Organizational Structure and Work Procedures of the State Ministries of the Republic of Indonesia and Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 10 of 2005 concerning units Organization and Work Procedure of Echelon I of the State Ministries of the Republic of Indonesia as amended by Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 15 of 2005, which is further elaborated in Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture Number: 299 / Kpts / OT.140 / 7/2005 jo 11 / Permentan /OT.140/2/2007 concerning the Organization and Work Procedure of the Ministry of Agriculture in this case the Directorate General of Horticulture and the Minister of Agriculture Regulation Number: 341 / Kpts / OT.140 / 9/2005 jo 12 / Permentan / OT.140 / 2/2007 concerning Completeness Organization and Work Procedure of the Department of Agriculture in this case the Directorate General of Horticulture which is currently established.
The Directorate General of Horticulture in the development of its organization is always dynamic and develops in line with the demands of agribusiness development in the field given the potential and prospective development of horticultural agribusiness products in the future that requires an integrated agricultural approach (PPT), as well as market demand and prospects that continue to develop along with population growth, level welfare and income of the community.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mungkin jumlah servernya sangat kurang. Respon nya kurang, kadang email di bales kadang tidak di balas itu pun harus nunggu lama. Sampe2 exportir atau importir Horti harus kontak personal ke pegawainya. Sistem software nya di perbaiki lagi kedepannya.
Maybe the number of servers is very less. The response is lacking, sometimes emails are answered, sometimes they are not answered, even then you have to wait a long time. Until Horti exporters or importers have to make personal contact with their employees. The software system will be improved again in the future.
