★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Balcony is a cafe/resto inside Plaza Ambarrukmo. Although it is inside a mall, it is quite spacious inside, and has outdoor terrace seating as well. The menu has a nice selection of Asian and Western dishes, and the ones I've tried so far were all decent, albeit slightly on the pricey side.
Overall, Balcony is not going to offer a culinary experience that's in any way mind-blowing, but it is nevertheless one of very few places inside Amplaz where you can sit comfortably and enjoy food, coffee, and dessert for an extended period of time.

-double cheeseburger: patty was juicy and well-seasoned, fries was good, big portion.
-blackened fish and chips: visually interesting but the taste.. not as much. the fish was a bit fishy and the batter could be crispier.
- caesar salad: love the caesar dressing, the veggies are also fresh.
- tom yam: okay but tasted like instant tom yam i usually buy in grocery stores.
- balcony ice coffee: the coffee itself taste-wise it’s okay tapi dia pake bubble yang biasa dijual di supermarket (kaya jelly) instead of using bobba kaya yang chatime dll. should’ve take out the bubble.
- matcha latte: again, tasted like instant matcha i usually buy at grocery stores.
after all, service is fast and well-organized. i guess the ambience here is the main selling point. outdoor seatingsnya sangat enjoyable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super good, I've always get the steaks here. Definitely one of the best steaks in Yogyakarta, even though this place is not specifically a steak house. Such a shame that they do not sell wagyu steak anymore. Other than the steaks almost everything I've tried on the menu is good. A good place to splurge once in a while. Definitely would recommend it to my friends.
