β β β β β Siantar / Medan type of noodles. If you like curly noodles and non-halal, then this is right for you. It's been a while since the last time I came here, and I'm not missing it too much. Nice seasonings. Lack of parking spaces, so you better prepare for a long walk from your parking spot to this place (if you're driving a car).

β β β β β It used to be our favorite noodle place, been eating there for more than 20 yrs. But the taste and quality has degraded for the past year. Tasteless and less portion served. Coffee is nice tho.

β β β β β I tried it for the first time. I immediately ordered for the second portion after I cleaned the first portion, just because it is just too delicious.
The small label of "Certified 50 Best Noodles in Jakarta by Tirta Lie" that I saw upon the wall of this small restaurant clearly does not lie.

β β β β β If you like the chinese style of medanese noodle this is a must try. Succulent ζ°΄ι€ (sui kiaw),springy home made noodles, great seasoned egg, bountiful pork in red sauce. Fairly priced menu.

β β β β β This place was recommended to me by my parents. They come here quite often for breakfast on weekends.
So far, I've tried two of their menus. Their lontong and also their bakmie special.
The place is quite spacious and is a typical kedai style restaurant. I really like the atmosphere and ambience of such kopi-tiam alike restaurants.
I like the lontong a lot! It's typical lontong from Medan with many components inside. You can also add on beef rendang if you want to make it more delicious!
The bakmi special was also good. I like the texture of the noodle which is a bit springy but not hard to chew, the components were also a lot. However, I think they could just up the price a little and offer bigger portion to make it more satisfying. Because I think, personally, the portion is too small for one person, but if I order 2 it's going to be too much.
Overall for the taste and the price, I would recommend this one if you want a good Medan cuisine especially for breakfast!
