First of all, this is not restaurant. Its a food stall and you will sit on the floor with other guest. Its a self service, where you take what you want to eat on a plate provided, order the drinks and finally go to the cashier. No price tag anyway but the price are reasonable and its cheap. After that, take off your shoes, sit and eat it with locals. The food was very nice especially their Nasi Kucing (its a rice with one side dish wrapped with a paper, because the size is small therefore they called it Nasi Kucing - Cat's Rice) It opens until late at night but with limited choices of food.

Many rice selection with side dishes that you can select. It's not cheap as you might want to allocate US$5 (excluding drink). For me the meatball taste a bit almost stale, the satay is still ok though.

You wanna try Angkringan-style foods, but you want the place to be at least relatively cozy, well-lit, popular among students and young people alike? You aren't into traditional, roadside Angkringan(s) scattered around the city? You expect the foods to taste well and be served neatly? Or you just wanna taste traditional, Yogyakarta-ish foodplace? Then try this place. It's so popular that often this place gets crowded and you have to be in queue just to get the food. There is no menu, just pick what you want. The number of food selection available here is HUGE. Usually people will pick the main (rice), available in packs, then they pick sidemeals (satay, fried tempe, some sort of vegetables, etc). Basically everything you expect to find in every Angkringan will be available here. The price is relatively steeper than the other traditional Angkringan, but I think it is worth spending. Atmosphere-wise, it's definitely not like the best restaurants out there. But hey, didn't you said you want to try Angkringan? Just don't go here at daytime. This place won't open until around 6 pm. Then it opens until around midnight, if I'm not mistaken. Try it. It's worth trying.

The traditional food station for chat and chill with your friends. Petruk Gareng serve a nasi kucing for their specialities (nasi kucing is small portion rice with a condiment or side dish) and they just sell around 5000 IDR per portion. If u want get side dish only, they sell too for you. A dish around 1000 IDR , bakso (meatball) , bakwan , oyster, small prawn or egg. U can choose one. Dont forget to choose traditional drinks like Wedang Uwuh and Wedang Jahe. Thats are my favorite. Sometime, they invite a local musician for live music. But , when i visit there no musician. The staff very helpfull , dont forget to ask the staff before u get something there. The price around 10.000 - 30.000 IDR maybe more depends what you get. The Petruk Gareng angkringan will be open at 6 pm until 1 am.

Very expensive for angkringan food. Maybe because it is trendy and in the main road. Nearly pay 30k idr just for 5 satay and tea. Better find another place. Same taste with cheaper price

Street food with traditional Yogyakarta ambience...you can choose your condiment and pay in cashier. Semi self service. The price is average compare with any street food in this town.

Located on a touristy place, this angkringan serve traditional streetfood of yogyakarta. Not a traditional angkringan where you sit in front of the server and the food, you pick your food, pay and take a seat on the floor (called lesehan). Price is on the premium side since it is on a touristy place, definitely not cheap. But the dish variation is a little bit lacking, they have many variation of satay, but not many variation of gorengan and snack. Taste is good, but it is not better than any other traditional real angkringan. If you want to experience Jogjakarta, this place is still worth to visit.
