★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite middle east resto in Jakarta. I've book private room for 5 hours. Two big plate mandhi rice lamb and chicken for 15 people is more than enough. Consist of mandhi rice, salad, dessert and many more. Taste so delicious and good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The authentic Middle East restaurant that is not only serves variant of halal cuisines, but also in a Middle East decoration and ambiance. Abunawas consists of two floors with two kind of seating. There are the common seating with table and chair, and the other one is sitting on the carpet with a small sofa in a private room covered by curtains.
For the main course with rice, they provide Mandi, Briyani, Zurbiyan rice with the topping lamb, fish, or chicken. They also provide some vegetarian menu.
Here are what we tried :
Zurbiyan Lahm (IDR 115,000)
Zurbiyan is a typical Middle East rice with its herbs and savoury taste. We chose Zurbiyan with Lahm (lamb). The rice is fragrant with its light savory taste and two big tender lambs that have similar texture with beef. A portion of this menu suits for sharing among 3 - 4 persons.
Kebab Dajaj (IDR 95,000)
We chose kebab with Dajaj (chicken). A plate of kebab served separately with chicken, french fries, and sliced onions.
How to eat this?
Put the chicken, french fries, along with the sliced onions on the kebab skin. Then roll and enjoy it.
I love the chicken! It tastes so good!
Umm Ali (IDR 38,000)
It's time for Middle East dessert!
This sweet "closing" is recommended by my friend who is a fan of Abunawas Restaurant and currently living in the US. Umm Ali is served hot, made by goat milk with sliced bread, raisins, and sprinkled with cinnamons. The texture is creamy and overall this dessert is similar with bread and butter pudding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great taste..nasi briyani with lamb is perfect..my little boy also love to order nasi mandhi with chicken. For me, who only want to consume less carbo, 1 pack of nasi briyani / mandhi is enough for 2 persons, so you just need to ask more lamb or chicken for additional meat.

The quality of service is gratify, other than that the restaurant provides many variant of the menu with great taste. By place, this restaurant is large also prepares many rooms with great decoration.

With lamb or chicken, both are so good!
Those place has been very famous for it Arabian cuisine and the setting of the place is also beautiful.
Quarter lamb or chicken over your choice of rice is people’s favorite. You can have mandi or biryani rice, or half - half on them. Complete with spicy sauce and if you order any dippings, like babagamush or hummus, you will get the pitta. I also tried the cheese samosa and I love it. Tabouleh is good and fresh, although I would love to have more lemon on it. I managed to try the milkshake as well. I chose the one with peanut butter, which is very nice and creamy. Next time I will try the one with dates I guess!
Ih has two floors so you can choose. You can also have the tables or the ‘tent’ where you can sit on the floor for full Arabian experience. They have private rooms you can use as well. I love the ambience, it’s pretty with fountain, cave-like and tent-like decoration, murals on the wall and Arabic accents.
It has spacious parking lot, so it won’t be a problem. I am not sur it is disability friendly though, especially for those with impaired mobility. It has spacious room but to reach the second floor will certainly be problematic. I hope they will fix it soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have this spacious room, great for family gathering or another large group dining. Their signature is Biryani and Mandi rice with dajaj (chicken) or lahm (lamb).
There are package including main course (can mix the rice), side dish (salad, ati ampela, pita bread), and beverages (mineral water and tea).
I love Abunawas' Umm Ali, it's a dessert made of bread, milk, nuts, with cinnamon, cardamom, and other spices. Unfortunately they were out of stock when I came several days ago! :(
