I started training at Zealot 5 years ago and thats when i met my head coach (now became my mentor and my inspiration) Jerry Luhukay. A man with tons of life experience. Through him i learnt a lot not only how to fight, but he guided me as a mentor to become a better fighter to become a better person. Zealot Muaythai has a lot of experienced trainers and the facilities they provided are outstanding. If you are looking for the best Muaythai Camp in Indonesia especially Jakarta, Zealot Muaythai is the place to be. The training programs are awesome, and if you are willing to be a pro fighter, you won't go wrong with Zealot!

i tried other muay thai places and always get bored because of the monotone training set. knew this place from one of my friend and she really recommended this place. overall i could tell that this place is the most discipline place i've been to. the trainers is strict yet respectful, they trains you as hard and really push your limit. train hard and you could see the result faster in your body. been going to this place for a month and i'm down to one size already.

First off, the trainer knows how to do pad work. I wasn’t able to experience anything else. One of the trainers (Coco) contacted me through whatsapp and asked me whether i wanted to join. I said yes, but I am injured. I explained my injuries (long thoracic nerve injury on the left side, shoulder impingement, bursitis, antalgic scoliosis and a torn ACL/meniscus. I asked if he could create a program/train me around my injuries. Basically using less of my left arm (cause i’m injured) and telling them I needed more rest between sets. I haven’t boxed in 6 years.. since 2013. I used to fight amateur when I was 15 but stopped due to an injury. Immediately when I got there, i paid 150rb and class didnt start till 7. I arrived at 6:10pm. I sat there and warmed up for 5 minutes, shadow boxed for 5 minutes and did a few rounds on the heavy bag. I do not speak Bahasa but i expected that the information relayed on whatsapp was already understood, also I expalined to them in person, pointing to my left shoulder/spine and rib cage saying β€œsakit bangat” and telling them I needed more rest. One of the coaches (Iman or Imam) in a white shirt started telling me to do pad work; first round was fine but I started experiencing pain after constantly throwing a left hook to the body, head and double/tripling up my jab. I did 3 - 2 minute rounds. Then they asked me to do 30 second cycles of jab crossing the bag for 5 rounds then uppercuts on the bag for 5 rounds.. basically things that I cant do because throwing constantly with my left arm causes a flare up for my thoracic outlet syndrome... There was a girl in the gym that spoke good English, I told her to help me translate and ask them if they could train me with a philly shell position, letting me counter more with the left hand rather than fighting off the left hand.. so basically fighting out of the Philly Shell Guard (left arm under right arm, shoulder up - basically floyd mayweather style to reduce the stress put on my left shoulder and spine.. it seemed like they didnt understand and one of the coaches just said β€œnext time” and told me to take a shower and leave. When i left they ignored me, quite a bad experience. So basically, I wasnt able to get a class in or my money’s worth even though I told them my situation through whatsapp and they agreed. Perhaps it was the language barrier... i will give them credit for having basic pad work combos however the positioning if the pads were more like for muay thai (cant complain because they are a muaythai gym), left and right pad were held farther from the head than usual (like mickey mouse pad work). Overall this gym is a good place to burn calories but not the best for catered 1 to 1 training. Perhaps i need to earn some more bahasa..
