★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Suasana kebetulan lagi sepi saat singgah di warung tahu kupat ini. Ada tiga meja dengan kursi tinggi yang ditempati beberapa orang. Seorang lagi terlihat berkemas akan meninggalkan tempat duduknya. Masih terlihat kepedasan. Mulut komat-kamit. Piring dimeja tersisa beberapa potong tahu dan kuah kecap coklat kehitaman.
Tahu kupat di warung ini memang ukuran besar. Bisa saja satu porsi buat dua orang. Potongan tahu yang besar-besar. Irisan kupat yang kurang lebih sama dengan potongan tahu. Irisan panjang-panjang kubis dan potongan mie memberi kesan makin penuhnya piring. Juga kacang tanah goreng yang memberi warna rasa khas saat disantap.
Tahu kupat adalah daya tarik utama. Minuman dan sajian lain hanya bagian dari menu utama tadi.
Dan itulah mengapa suasana sepi hanya sebentar saja. Pelanggan berdatangan. Ada yang langsung memesan dan mencari meja kosong. Sebagian besar yang lain duduk-duduk antre. Menantikan pesanan dibungkus untuk dibawa pulang.
Masa pandemi tak menyurutkan pelanggan tetap berkunjung ke warung ini. Pasalnya, tempat ini menyediakan fasilitas cuci tangan bagi mereka yang baru datang atau yang akan meninggalkan warung.
The atmosphere happened to be lonely again when I stopped at this Kupat tofu shop. There were three tables with high chairs that were occupied by several people. Another person is seen packing and will leave his seat. Still looks spiciness. Mouth chewing. The plate at the table left a few pieces of tofu and blackish brown soy sauce.
The Kupat tofu in this shop is indeed large in size. It could be one serving for two people. Large pieces of tofu. Kupat slices are roughly the same as tofu chunks. Long slices of cabbage and chunks of noodles gave the impression of a fuller plate. Also fried peanuts which give a distinctive flavor color when eaten.
Tofu kupat is the main attraction. Drinks and other dishes are only part of the main menu.
And that's why it was quiet for only a moment. Customers arrive. Some ordered immediately and looked for an empty table. Most of the others sat in line. Looking forward to an order wrapped up to take home.
The pandemic period did not stop customers from visiting this shop. The reason is, this place provides hand washing facilities for those who have just arrived or are leaving the shop.
