β β β β β Excellent traditional Javanese ambiance. The Soto is tasty, clean, and fresh with a variety of ala carte food items such as fried tempe, tahu bacem, quail egg sate etc. Service is friendly and prices are very affordable and worth every Rupiah.

β β β β β Nice place to hang out, quite spacious, cozy and kinda artistic. They have rica-rica, sayur ndeso, sayur brongkos, variety of snacks from mendoan to otak-otak, and many drinks from coffee to wedang tape also they are quite cheap compared with others.

β β β β β Super friendly service and recommended spot for breakfast with Soto. The dining Joglo is vintage Javanese with few pretty paintings on the wall & other old artworks.
They serving the Soto on a Gerabah/clay pot bowl. The tempe is freshly made and you need to order first, not served on the table as buffet.
Parking area is enough for 3 cars and few motorbikes.

If you are javanese who stay in suburban of Central Java or East java during 90's or 2000, and miss your hometown, I recommend this place to visit. You will be flash back in your home town literally. If you new millenial age, you will amaze with the originality of javanese vintage theme of the place.The food are one of the best in north jogja, with jogja's price. If You are from Jakarta or West Java, hold your jaws when you see price in the menu or in cashier for paying the bill. The dish I recommend are the' bronkost',the kampung dish that she bring to the next level cafe dish.The dish are one of the most rare dish serve in the restaurant or cafe nowdays, is exclusive due to its simplicity. The signature Dish is crystal clear javanese soup call 'soto lenthok'. the dish serve mix with rice, but for you foreigner or visitor, I suggest to separate the soup and rice, and taste the soup it self which's so rich , and you will understand why its the signature Dish of the place.
All the beverages here are Javanese Signature, you can find complete javanese beverages to order. And serve in javanese vintage cup and Mug. Warung Pengkolan are original real sub urban Javanese vintage Experiences.
