★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place,good food,awesome ambience with traditional javanese style. Great staff and fast service,bit pricey but worth it when you reach there you will feel like you are connected with nature full of huge and big trees make the place so calm and cozy with the breeze. The food are so typically street food with a la carte menu. Is good for the weekend getaway. Some of the building was decorated complete with lime stone style,lesehan style and high chair and table style. It was so quite during afternoon for lunch not many people coming there. So nature for sure will come back whenever i visit jogja...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Indonesian restaurant is phenomenal! You are greeted by this concrete arch and upon entering, well-designed cottages and towers are strategically spread out in a relatively small lot. Stone walls adorn the towers where stone steps will lead you to a dining area on top. Open air cottages also arr available for dining!
Ponds, trees, and other tropical plants adorn the place making it truly magical. Even though a lot of people flock to Waroeng, you can still feel the relaxed atmosphere of the whole complex. Well, up until the food arrives!
Their fried tempeh cakes are beyond and their chicken is also tender and herbacious. Their sambal is divine and does not have the weird aftertaste most sambals possess. Their sweet Thai tea and other juices are worth trying. If you are foreigner, do learn how to eat with your hands as that completes the dining experience.
After your meal, please try one of their coffee drinks! The guy prepping your coffee will gladly explain the differences and the processes of each drink. Check out their manual espresso machine, innovation and creativity at its finest!
My only issue is the lack of modern toilet facilities. They only have a couple of stalls which is not really enough when you have a huge crowd. It is well maintained though so I can overlook at small hiccup.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A unique restaurant with natural ambience concept in side of the restaurant. For the menu are Indonesian foods. This time I tried to ate main menu Ingkung - a boiled native chicken with rice (I asked for an extra nice) and sambal with extra cah kangkung (imho, a bit salty). For drink it is nice to taste iced black coffee at sunny day during my stay in Yogya.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice food, nice place, suitable for hanging out with your family. You might gonna need to book because in weekend, it'l get full booked. For the 4 stars, you may see in the photos i posted, not all the waiter, only one actually, whom did something really disturbing and innapropriate for a well known restaurant. Is it normal for waiter to take notes while sitting next to the guest? Based on my experience it is not. Hopefully this restaurant will improve the service quality. Yet they have something for you which is coffe space and you can choose your own taste, and last time i visited this restaurant, its just a normal restaurant without any special besides good view, green scenery and good taste.

Traditional Javanese houses surrounded with plants all around and a lot, I mean like a hell lot, spots for taking beautiful picture.
But!
Like any other dreams, there is always a downside. The Food & Beverage. It's just too expensive for it's taste. You can not fill up your tummy here without at least 50K. Well, they do have an economic package worth 20K or so, so I recommend you to take the package instead. Because the food itself taste way so ordinary to be put at 20K or above price tag. There is nothing out of the ordinary for the beverage as well. Just your day-to-day Es Teh or juices.
So, I think this place is a bargain. Nice place to chill and pic-hunting if you're into that kind of thing. But, for food, it's another story.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant with unique environment and line of foods. Each seats have different sets of chairs and tables, depending on the location.
Serving a lineup of traditional Javanese foods, their 'ayam ingkung' is their signature dish and a must try.
However, you better be prepared that the tastes my slightly vary depending on how crowded the restaurant is.
I find the food tastes better when the restaurant is not really crowded, perhaps the staffs are in a hurry to deliver food faster when the restaurant is crowded?
