it's multifunctional dam, it generate electricity through turbine and it store water for irrigation and water treatment, also it's a beautiful place to take a photo, or just refresh ur mind

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Sempor water reservoir is located at Sempor, Gombong District, Kebumen Regency, Central Java Province. The southwestern part of the dam near the water outlet is a suitable place for family recreation at weekends, especially on clear Sunday early morning. Visitors can take a walk or run along a concrete lane while enjoying the beautiful view of the vast, clean water body surrounded by green hills. Stalls offering simple foods and drinks can be found at the parking lot. The eastern part seems to be undermaintained, but there are actually some spots worth visiting, including a place called Kampung Nila with freshwater fish karambas (bamboo boxes) and food shops offering fish and other dishes. Motor boats offer short trips for passengers to explore the water. I and my wife discovered a large but isolated restaurant uphill which seemed to have been closed down. There is also a modest children playground decorated with a used military training aircraft.
