Tidak jauh dari kota Jogja, sekitar 10 km dengan akses jalan mudah. Desa ini memiliki sejarah panjang penyebaran agama Islam. Suasana islami terasa kental di sini, pakaian menutup aurat, perempuan berkerudung dan laki-laki bersarung dan kopiah, sebuah ciri khas pondok pesantren tradisional. Suara anak-anak mengaji bersautan, dan tidak jarang suaramercin atau petasan di saat-saat tertentu (malam takbiran).
A densely populated village which is also a religious tourism destination (pilgrimage to the grave of R Sandiyo) with more than 20 Islamic boarding schools. Not far from the city of Jogja, about 10 km with easy road access. This village has a long history of spreading Islam. There is a strong Islamic atmosphere here, clothes cover aurat, women wear headscarves and men wear sarongs and skullcaps, a characteristic of traditional Islamic boarding schools. The voices of children reciting the Koran resonate, and not infrequently the sound of sparks or firecrackers at certain times (takbiran night).
